arent you from NY,.. shouldnt you have 2 other teams to root for,.. yes first time since 86 since both NY teams make the playoffs and then you jump on the other cities bandwagon and root for the #1 seed, sure ok i see where your loyal dedication lies to,.. bandwagoner:whip: |

Um, actually I am from Philadelphia, I work in Philadelphia and have had season tix to the eagles since the 70's. I was 3 when I saw the eagles beat the cowboys in the 1980 nfc champsioship game, so I dont think I qualify as a bandwagoner. Damn bucs fans, when will you get it right :p |

ok my apologies to you for saying you were a NYer, i just wasnt informed with the info, ok no you arent a bandwagoner,.. you are true to your team like i am, but the Eagles fans are the biggest tools of the NFL (im sure you can see my distaste for the Eagles when i start going after the fans:D ) individually they are ok, but as a whole they are garbage,... there was a news story here about the philly fans when the bucs played up there a couple of months ago and they stated that those fans are the worst in the nfl b/c they give the other teams fans the hardest time, they had a news reporter walk through the upper decks with a #19 keyshawn jersey on and the fans threw things at him and heckled him the entire time... next year in the new stadium, when its all plush and nice will definitely take away your home field advantage for a while, Bucs certainly gained home field advantage by switching stadiums, (remember the sombrero, man that was a piece).. |

lmao, anyone caught dead in a #19 jersey should be heckled. Keyshawn is def. the most over-rated, over-paid player in the NFL, if he played as much as he talked he could be good, instead he is an average joe schmo in the NFL and anyone wearing his jersey should be pelted with trash, even in tampa :D
also, as far as the fans go, I have been to games in about 15 stadiums and eagles fans arent as bad as it seems compared to other teams as well. It all depends on where you sit. In philly if you sit in the 700 level be prepared to get from the fans, up there are the hardcore fans who show up the day before to start drinking and getting painted for the games. Every team has that area. In the meadowlands its like that in the upper levels too, and behind the end zone in cleveland. In Buffalo its the whole damn stadium. In Oakland its the sections adjacent to the 50 yard line. In cincinati, well.... in cincinati no one cares lol. I will say that eagles fans are among the most passionate, going to games in the freezing cold, rain, sleet, snow, whatever the weather they sell out, and maybe other team fans arent used to that and they mistake it for violence, sure I wouldnt wear a giants jersey in philly, thats just plain suicide, but I wouldnt wear any jersey to an away game in the nfc east, their fans are crazy  |

| i agree im not the biggest K. Johnson fan, but he is the best WR blocker in the NFL, no question,.. he has great hands and good route running skills, not all that fast, but doesnt get spectacular numbers b/c he usually has a couple guys on him,... joe jerivicious is the man, 6-5 great hands and flies under the radar,... you all have crazy fans b/c you all are packed in like sardines up there,.. the distance between teams is only a few short hours away from each other, so yeah i can see hostility amungst you all,.. jags=3.5 hr drive, phins=5hr drive plus we rarely play them so the hostility even for that isnt much,.. lots of space inbetween so we dont get a lot of other teams fans in town, sometimes the bears and packers brings good amts of fans b/c of the snowbirds (those people that come south for the winter), if i had a wish id like to go up to Philly and wear a Bucs jersey up in the 700 levels and just love to trash talk with all of them, that would be so much fun... b/c we all know who's gonna win anyway,... both teams should be fully healthy so if we do actually play each other in the NFC champ game, then it should be a good one :) |

| You know what I think is the reason we have such rabid fans. Yes, the closeness of the teams is true, but dont forget that the eagles biggest rivals besides the giants are the cowboys and they are no where near philly. I think Football was meant to be a cold weather sport played in cold weather outside in the elements. If you look at all the teams in the NFL, the most rabid fans are from teams that play in extreme freezing temperatures (packers, eagles, giants, redskins, bills, patriots, bears, steelers, browns, etc...) If you look at teams in warmer climates their fans are not even close to being as crazy or into football. In fact, I have noticed that warm weather teams of any sport dont get as much fan fare as their cold weather or northern counterparts. Now, I have not been to or seen every team below the mason dixon so dont get me wrong, but if you look at the #'s im sure there will be a big discrepancy between #'s of fans attending northern teams vs. southern teams. Anyway, back to the main point, the bucs might have won 1 game below 40 degrees, but that was against the 3-13 bears playing 4 hours from home. If you come to Philly it will be 30 degrees and you will be in the pit of hell :p 80% of the #1 seeds in the NFC make the Superbowl, and the eagles dont lose @ home so bring on the Giants/49ers!!!!!!!! |

| he he.... i think we have rabid fans. though i sit in that 'dangerous' area of the 700 level. we get opposing team fans to leave every game. they were actually heckling a family of four at the tampa game (even grandma). lol. at the redskins game there was a hogette in our section that actually stayed until the 3rd quarter. i saw a guy in our secrion actually pull his hog nose back. i won't argue that the fans at the vet can be a little intense. there is probably a reason we were the first stadium to have a courtroom installed at games. but on the other hand, i see no problem having brutal fans. passionate, as ian put it. we really do care about football. |
