| Normally when something like this arises with a friend or someone I know, I usually try to pick their brain and get a better understanding for the delicate subject. But since you cold and bitter about it, I wont start picking your brain about it. |

listen i refuse to have an arguement in this room about this.
i am not being cold and bitter about it, he is my b/f and by you saying that about him is an insult to me, your comment was just plain rude. how would you like it if someone said: "yo Vlad, you are as fat as a cow! i don't know if i have ever ate a piece of meat on it with that much fat on it! no offense." maybe someone should say it to you and see how you feel. |

Its been done, and Im still alive. I dont let comments like that bother me, I just laugh at them, and I usually throw an insult right back at them for more laughs. My remark wasnt supposed to be offensive, it was supposed to be sarcastic, sorry if my comedy seems alittle bold and straight forward, but thats how I am with everything, bold and right to the point. |

u know, that's a really good point, and not only to this situation but as a general reference.. I, for one, also agree that calling them skinny is the same as calling someone fat. it's just that society favors thinner people than fatter people. ok, that's all i gotta say about that! :eek: :o |

Cubes, dont worry about it, sometimes it good to know how far to take with some people. If you dont test the waters, next time you might get bitten, hard!
Eventually, Ill test the water with everyone and see who can and cant take certain stuff, and where and where not to go with certain issues. Its how I get to know people, they might not like it, but they will grow to love me. :toothless |

Alright..you know what, let's have it out. Enough tiptoeing around.
I may be the cheese meister, but all cheese aside for now.
WHY IN GOD'S NAME do you need to test people? do you know how many times you unnecessarily hurt people by doing that? This might be just a thread on a message board to you...one that you just jump into and start posting random ...but it's a little more than that to us because we are all friends and we RESPECT EACH OTHER!
ARGH!! you know....i still am not saying what I really want to because just like Lisa said, I don't want to start a fight here. That's exactly what we like to stay away from. along with drama.
Vlad, if this is how you go about getting people to "grow to love you" you should really rethink that. Instead of bursting in a door and shouting out offensive opinions, maybe you should knock quietly and introduce yourself. Do you know what I mean?

Well let me say this... Anything that is typed or said by me, that is in anyway insulting you let me know... next... anything that is typed or said by me that you think is insulting let me know... lastly... ANYTHING typed or said by me that sounds like an insult, is not.

Ok, I can understand knocking, but Ive always done the 'hiding behind the bush and lets see what happens technique', that lands me no where. People tell me I need to be more aggressive so I try. It didnt seem like it at Arc, but I am naturally an incredibly timid person. Last night I tried to shove that aside, grow balls and say hi. |

I don't consider being skinny a problem. I consider being an or a dick a problem. If you are going to insult people at least get to know them 1st and then maybe you find Tom to be 1 of the nicest, friendliest people around. I have clubbed with Tom, chilled with Tom, and travelled with Tom, and he is def. one of the nicest ta's around with a genuine love for the music, the club, and the people. Everyone looks different, this we cannot help, but we can all choose how we act towards others and Tom is 1 of the good guys and insulting him here will def. get you nowhere. Instead of "testing" people how about "thinking before you speak (type)" and just respect your fellow ta's and they will respect you back. Once you get to know this group you will learn to appreciate their friendship and unity as some of us travel the world together. |
