Ok i have a question.....can u explain the theory of superposition and how it actually occurs....i figured i'd start out easy...

Well, it is rather simple. Since we can compute the effect of one mass on a second mass (Gmm/r^2) we can compute the force acting on each of these particles. If we have many particles (masses), and we want to find the force on one of them, we can just do the VECTOR-sum of all the individual forces.
what do you mean by "how does it occur?" I mean, it is pretty basic math. You have multiple forces acting in multiple directions, so the net force is the sum of them. |

Superposition......quantum mechanics and no ur not gonna explain it with that equation lol....
Its also known as quantum entanglement..which is related to schroedengers(sp) kittens...

ahhh fook!! quantum mechanics :sadgreen: if I have to hear that word one more time today I'm going to flip out man  . I never thought Aeronautical Engineering could be so hard, but then yet again, I'm going to be making the big bucks :toothless |

ahh.. see there are multiple principles of superposition then.. my roommate may know something about that -he took quantum mechanics- and i was more referring to the prhysics problems Mr. Mcgroin had.. not stuff that is bleeding edge |

yeah don't go too crazy...i don't think anyone truly understands quantum phenomena, just focus on lifting bodies etc lol.
