In fact, I have noticed that warm weather teams of any sport dont get as much fan fare as their cold weather or northern counterparts. Now, I have not been to or seen every team below the mason dixon so dont get me wrong, but if you look at the #'s im sure there will be a big discrepancy between #'s of fans attending northern teams vs. southern teams. If you come to Philly it will be 30 degrees and you will be in the pit of hell :p 80% of the #1 seeds in the NFC make the Superbowl, and the eagles dont lose @ home so bring on the Giants/49ers!!!!!!!! |
ok, we might not be as rabid, but we do sell out all our games since the new stadium opened, and i also think the difference of fans has to do with the weather b/c we have more things to do during the winter besides sit and think about football, like today was hot enough to sweat,.. but also all the northern teams have been in the league far far longer than the southern teams, so just that in its self is tradition,... personally i dont even know what football is like in that type of weather, b/c if i can see my breath while im outside then its too cold for football,.... dunno we just think different about it,.. but alls that really matters is what happens on the field... and the Bucs - Pack game will all be overshadowed b/c of the whole Sapp vs Sherman issue,.. oh well it will be picure perfect playoffesque atmosphere... |
