Mike just said what people should have realized in the first place. Yes, he went over the line with the name calling, but he wasn't the first to do so.
And, last I checked, this part of the forum is PUBLIC. That means that anyone and everybody, who is allowed to post on the public parts of the forum can post here. So why are you attacking him for doing what he is entiteled to do?
if you need a private ppr forum, i encourage you to ask swamper in the site suggestions forum.
Obviously, Mike has been posting on here for a 'tad' longer than you might have and if he had been 'sticking his nose where it did not belong' he would have been banned ages ago. he still is here, hence he must be contributing to the forum in some way that isn't violating any of the rules.
If u don't like his balls, i suggest the 'ignore user' button to you. then u will never have to read his posts and can live a happy life ever after. |
oh, so sorry for sticking up for my PPR friends. i guess since Mike's been "around a TAD" longer than me, i have no right to say anything, right? sorry greg, but you're right- this forum is public which means i can say whatever i want to, and if you dont like my posts, then put me on ignore! ffs. it's also a little surprising/disappointing that you would see him as the one with some sense when he totally called out half of your friends. i've never even met most of the PPR's, but i still have loyalty to them. but thats just me. |

ok, time to get stuff straight. I NEVER told anyone in here that they are my friends. If you consider yourself to be my friend, just because u post in a thread that i had abandoned AGES ago, then you may surely do so, but i don't see it that way.
Yes, he called people names, which i had mentioned was wrong. But his major point was correct. Unfortunately, I have the character FLAW that I tell people what I think. I might know some of my friends for ages. If they up, they can be sure that i will let them know.
You attacked Mike though he was right. Why should I not defend someone, who shares my oppinion of right and wrong? I am extremely loyal, my real friends know that, but that doesn't stop me from standing up for what is right. Blind loyalty is retarded. Both on the web and in RL.
edit: of course you can say what you want to, but statements like " djmikeymike is basically a waste of space in the world" doesn't really pull any weight if they come from a 'noob' against someone, whom I have seen post a good ldeal of INTERESTING stuff. |

i never ever considered you a friend, i was talking about the other people that post in here. it seems like all of you guys are friends, but i didn't realize you weren't a part of that.
and tell me how he was right? by coming into a place where he NEVER posts and flaming everyone? you don't see me hittin up the Holland forum, busting in there, and then talking on everyone, do you? if you claim he is so "right", then you and i have a very different version of whats right and whats wrong.
apparently this you are defending is a friend of yours in real life, and thats just funny. i've seen a lot of his posts before and a high majority of them have been him being a rude ass.
dude, get over yourself. i'm not a noob anymore. just because you get a power trip over the internet by your custom status, doesnt mean you can tell me that what i have to say isn't significant. that! i have just as much freedom on here as someone who was the first to register.

he came in here -for whatever reason, i don't care- and basically said that people should get over their girlish "omfg the sig fairy got me" whining. I hate, no I DESPISE, people that whine.
I am not Mike's friend in real life, but I share his oppinion on this issue. Since we agree on this issue, i will 'defend' that standpoint. If you attack him -as a person- for having that oppinion you are effectively telling me that i suck, because i think the same way.
I did -on the other hand- make it clear that i think that his means were not great, as I generally think that calling people names isn't a way to fight an argument. |

i know. They are turned off for me. I think we have moved away from sigs. For me, it was about 'sig-fairy whining' and calling people names. |

mmm... and as for name calling... when i call ppl names, i do it over pms or IM. (this applies to another msg board than TA) calling ppl out publicly on a messagebaord is not appropriate. |

wow man a whole other page formed while I was pming mikey......:eyes: this is more serious than I thought :p . I already pm'd the mod and some people to clear things up between me and them so now I am neutral on the situation and I'm going to stay that way.
I will admit the whole sig fairy thing went overboard, but it's behind us now and hopefully we can clear things up and move on as "friends of TA." :tongue2 |
