| Just ordered Crysis and CoD4 off Play Asia for less than AU$90, including P&H. Should arrive in a few weeks when Crysis is restocked which is perfect :D |

got crysis for christmas! wont comment too much on it yet coz ive only played for a couple of hours, but the game would seem much better to me if they hadn't already done farcry. which just goes to show how good farcry was i suppose.
and i think some of the control decisions are a bit of a pain. no crouch toggle? that's just gay.
but ill still be playing it for many many more hours :D |

Yea I was playing the demo and some things are annoying but you get used to them.
Definitely not game of the year and far from the masterpiece that people are saying, but it's up there as one of the best of the year. It's the graphics which give it such high ratings and it blinds a lot of people.
Still looking forward to it, though I'll install and play CoD4 first on maximum difficulty first. I'm strangely looking forward to again dying about 100 times on particular missions and then the amazing amount of adrenaline and satisfaction you get once you pass it! :D :whip: :D :whip: :D |

begic assasins is insane, finally finished it the other day I managed a fair few hours to complete so you'll get a load of gameplay for your $$$.

Cool dude, how long it take you to end up beating it? they said it would be a pretty huge game
Uncharted is really good man, it plays as well as it looks.. and the storyline is great.. scenery really is jaw droppin ;)

well assasins I finished over 3 weeks spending at least two hours each sitting obviously times when I never touched it for days and then i'd cram a session in for hours on end. Quality game, although, does become a little repetitive near the end. The ending is pretty sweet too....i won't spoil anything, but there is an opening for a part 2...;) |

but that's the other thing, the graphics. admittedly im only running it in high mode, with 16AA and 1360x768 res. but i am nowhere near as impressed as i thought i would be. having said that it runs smooth as a mofo!
and i was terribly disappointed with the lack of inertia provided by trees, bushes etc. and only SOME flora entities get moved by the player or NPCs. both these issues really bothered me because i was expecting more. but especially the inertia, its no different to ghost recon ffs.
BUT, having such a good-looking game in an open environment is impressive. though ive noticed how they do it, there's a blur when you move quickly, so the GPU isn't processing all the graphics at the same level.
i agree, definitely not GOTY material, i already feel bioshock was more of an achievement but still really enjoying it. |

| I'm running it on ok graphics as it's a bit of a slideshow on high but still looks pretty nice. For $40, I don't really mind :p |

i got the orange box the other day, only have enough hard drive space for half life 2, which is alright since ive never played it before hehe. it would be nice if there was a manual or something to explain wtf i am doing though :p fun so far, but a few frustrating moments getting stuck while moving around
