and i have no desire to. only chumps are obsessed with super high resolution. first off it makes plenty of games impossible to read. secondly, the difference between the high resolutions is neglible at best. thirdly, the GTX's handle that kind of resolution on today's games fine. finally, all decent cards run the game better than their previous iterations' in SLI. |

not many games support 1360x768 though.. those that do yes, but mostly i find myself having to use 1280x768.. which isn't quite the native resolution, but close enough |

2560x1600 is my monitor's native resolution. I refuse to run it at anything other than that. If I run games at 1280x800 for example my monitor has to upscale everything and it blurs. I like a crisp picture and a large display, that's why I tend to stick with them.
Thanks for the obvious facts regarding newer generations of cards, I'm actually more concerned about power consumption and release dates than the obvious fact that a 9800GTX will spank a pair of 8800s. I went from SLI 7800GTXs to a 7900GTX which flogged the 78s, then moved on to the 8800GTX earlier this year. |

hehe, that looks ing cool! but my comment remains, you dont (or shouldnt) need an SLI GTX to run at that res.
do you really run that res for your desktop? that's just silly.
why do you care about power consumption if youre considering SLI? obv SLI is gonna take more power.
so, if i were you, id wait for the next gen cards. i still dont think SLI is worth the (marginal) gain you get. |

I run this res for everything. And if I crank FSAA to 16x my videocard s itself. Wow a whole 1fps. I enjoy playing with EVERYTHING turned up. Besides that I'm a nerd, it's what we do! :D |

If you can, why not?
fair enough if the monitor is tiny, but otherwise, ahoy. |
