I didn't know what Fallout was until 30 seconds ago, but then I remembered that I used to play the first one back in '97/'98.
I used to buy these $10 CDs at Safeway that would have 5-6 game demos on them, and from there I would decide what full versions to buy.
Found some great stuff that way. |

yeah, im waiting til im more into the game, but it would have to be right up there with the best RPGs ive ever played :)
unlike you tho, i knew that the game isnt that long so im exploring exploring exploring and doing everything i can to NOT advance the plot hehe.

i was actually disappointed. at least in the texture quality, but the fact that its a huge open world there will obviously be limits in gfx.
definitely one of the most immersing games ive played. |

yer, close up the graphics arent as good as other games, BUT when you look out over the wasteland or DC it forms an awesome panoramic scene, and thats what I loved about the graphics.
My new mission is to destroy everything that moves :) |

God damn that card was the best value piece of computer equipment i've ever bought
i'm really impressed that the graphics quality is so much higher than stalker: clear sky's yet the framerate is so much better

just finished prince of persia sands of time on ps2 tonight, i really enjoyed it :) i think it had a nice mix of fighting and puzzles, it didn't seem to lean too much in either direction. towards the end i had to use a walkthrough a couple of times cause i couldn't be bothered thinking and the camera was a bit dodgy in combat sometimes, where i couldn't see what was going on because of a stupid curtain or something. other than that it was pretty sweet. sometimes it seemed a bit overwhelming walking into a big room or area, thinking 'how the hell do i get out of this place?', then you watch the vision and you get a basic idea, then you pull off this sweet sequence of jumps and swinging and running and you get this huge grin on your face. great stuff.
i've now moved on to 'the warrior within', and even though i've only played for about 30 mins, i'm not sure i like the change in theme/style. heavy metal soundtrack, heaps of blood and gore out of nowhere, and the first sort-of-boss fight is against a stereotypical busty chick with black leather that doesn't really cover anything at all. complete tangent, even though the gameplay is pretty much the same. we'll see how i go. |

got Fallout 3 last week.. and havent had solid time to play it due to a lot of things needing to be done..
But in the time i have had to play it, i have found myself losing 2 hours+ at a time without realizing because its soo farkin good!
10/10 for me, its endless amounts of fun. no boring bits here! |
