been following the new alone in the dark trailers? ing hell im dying to get my hands on it :) |
well this new alone in the dark has reignited the flame I lost for the series... I just hope gameplay isn't linear and doesn't turn into one of those "restricted world" kind of games....I guess the freedom from Assasins creed would be something i'll always be craving from now on with these sorts of games.
GTA IV is also looking the goods. |

haha .. yeah i have seen them, the physics and stuff are awesome.. resident evil 5 is also one to look out for. im actually saving all my pennies for a 60" pioneer kuro tv next year (call me insane lol). so all these games that emphasise black are going to make me hard as.

unfortunately, the resident evil's that have made the PC have been 100% ports, and they haven't done a good job with any of them apparently, so ill have to continue to miss out :( |

you hear pioneer are stopping plasma panel manufacturing and are going to just source from panasonic? |
|
|
| Aesthetic |
| yeah the panels, alot of companies source panels from other companies actually.. its still going to be pioneer guts inside, and what makes kuro a kuro :). |

yeah, there's barely any manufacturers of actual panels. but I would've thought that's what gave pioneer their edge, the panel itself.. *shrug* we'll have to wait and see I guess. Will be very interesting if the pioneers with pana panels are better than the pana sets. |

| yeah.. though pioneer make the best tv's money can buy.. did you see that extreme contrast ratio concept plasma? i think its the next kuro.. the one i will be too cheap to afford in a year lol |
|

| sunrise3500 |
| yeah they do make the best plasmas, but.. they cost a lot more.. and aren't great value, hence why they havent been profitable and are gonna use pana! hopefully they're in the same price range as the competitors. |

| Pioneer = no more plasma's after that one guys, get it while you can (when you can) ;) |

wrong scott..
LONG BEACH, CALIF. Pioneer Electronics will continue its plasma TV strategy, which still includes its upscale Kuro line, despite its decision to discontinue production of plasma panels.
clicky clicky
now perhaps as sunrise said, even the brand new kuros will cost similar pricing to the current panas.. in that case i'd even wait to get the extreme contrast ratio one next year..
WE'LL SEE HOW THIS PANS OUT SCOTT, THERES MANY THINGS IN THE PIPELINE.. REMEMBER THAT |

LOL!
Well according to Pioneer here (and this is behind the scenes stuff) they haven't generated profit on plasma for a looong time and part of the problem is that in making plasma they have been limited to 2 'sellable' sizes being the 42" and 50" (fvck all actually buy the 60")
Looks like they'll be making the switch to (vomit) LCD.
BTW Kuros is as good as it is because it uses the pioneer panel, I love the pana's but a pioneer/pana combo wouldn't look as good - It'll just be cheaper. |
