| i'm enjoying "broken sword:shadow of the templars" at the moment, got it on ebay with the 2nd one for an alright price, i think i had a warez version of it when it came out but never got around to playing it. anyways i love these adventure games :D |

planning for the future. and you dont need a 24" LCD. high quality 17" CRTs that do 1600x1200 would require something with grunt. |

cool, are all the battles really big or are there some smaller maps too? the box is at the shop in eb games, i think you can pre order super commander.

Remember I mentioned the SED tv's PKC? Well Pioneer have re-engineered their new plasma which is supposed to be better than the SED.. (they reckon > 100,000:1 contrast ratio).. the best thing about it is that while SED comes out next year, the new Pioneer plasma's should be out here within 5-6 months.
"The demo session took place in a closed room wherein Pioneer's currently available 60-inch Plasma display was compared to their newest tech, which, we were told, is an entirely new engineering effort rather than any image-processing upgrade to existing technology. In comparison to what is generally though of as best-of-breed image quality, Pioneer's new plasma display was astounding. The demo began with both screens in idle-black. That is, the new plasma display looked black; Pioneer's current plasma looked shockingly gray and over-lit. Over the course of a variety of sources including an in-house demo reel and clips of Haunted Mansion, the new Pioneer model put the previous version to absolute shame."
"We haven't seen better black-level performance since we were treated to Toshiba's SED demo a year ago. Though a head-to-head comparison is impossible, Pioneer's new display tech appeared easily surpassed everything we've seen in the recent HDTV space. Not only are the blacks at CRT-quality, but color contrast, even in red, is remarkably vibrant and highly differentiated in shade."

| yep dave you're right on....SED is the ! i'm glad it's out soon as I was out shopping for a new tellie the other day....now the choice is a little easier now with SED on its way ;) but i'd hate to know how much they'll be worth:nervous: |

there are much smaller maps. apparently its gonna ship with someting like 40 maps. awesome :) i think im gonna play on one of the large ones tnite and see how it runs.
how much are the new plasmas though dave? |
