the expansion, "forged alliance" is out soon! i say expansion of course, but it really is more like a sequel, so rich are the improvements. everything about the game has changed, with improvements to performance, graphics, effects, sound, but most importantly: the gameplay 1000x different, and the incredible new faction diversity is wonderful.

if you played supcom and liked it ok but felt it had shortcomings in any of ^^ that then check out FA when it is released in about a month. everything about supcom is better now, and it will win strategy game of the year, mark my words well, assuming expansions can win?? hmmm, i dunno about that

oh yeah, and for those that hated the building aspect, you can now create custom macros (that are saved from game to game) for as many structure patterns as you like. more time for shooting the out of things.

the new units + new faction have totally blown this game's tactical and strategic play right open. balance of every single unit and most structures has been changed.

the interface got an incredibly elegant upgrade, the fog of war is now sharp and sexy, and various intel on the battlefield is the best of its kind i have ever seen- a ridiculous improvement on the original!

oh, beta keys might still be available on fileplanet...

So have you played the beta?

we've all been playing supcom and keeping up as much as we can with it... battles galore. and with my recent new pc i have to say its much more fun on a good pc. i'm prolly gonna buy FA :D

yeah i played fear too, that's a pretty good one. its best to play at night in the dark with the speakers up loud... its actually pretty freaky. sorta resident evil style freaky... but good.

Played UT3 Beta Demo the other day. I like what they've done to the weapons, but I realised as I was playing it - Im a bit over that type of gameplay.
