tbh i havent researched this much (its a console game afer all) but what i saw in the trailer showed nothing that i havent seen done to some extent in the PC shooters set in a galaxy far far away. im happy to be proved wrong, i was asking a question after all ;)

please tell me how this "surrounding awareness" is going to translate into a fundamental difference in how you play the game.

how about you shoot or use the force to push a stormtrooper off a ledge and move on, only to have that stormtrooper hang on to the ledge, climb back up and ram his blaster up your arse.

Don't get me wrong.

FC = awesome, especially on maps like Stalwart and Phobos. Is one of my favourite weapons.

However, the XBox version was focussed almost entirely on close combat. Long range weapons were essentially useless when people could execute melee attacks with swords and from like 10 metres away.

I realised today that all my favourite games have AWESOME soundtracks, and that's part of why I like them so much. UT is at the top of the pile in that regard, such a good range of well-produced tunes.

er...no?

What's to stop using the minigun for long range kills? I do it all the time.

And how could you think that the Reedemer isn't a long range weapon? You can fly it anywhere on a map as long as no one kills you in the meantime.

Obviously a n00b. :p
