anywayz, here's what ive found. its not the fastest thing in the universe, but its better than mine and i have 2/3 of this so i can tell you the parts are great.

you can look for a new case yourself coz that's a pretty personal choice.
my C2D 6400 is overclocked to 3.2Ghz, so its a top performer alongside the flagships and much cheaper.
you could get a better motherboard if you'd like, but this one won awards and is super solid and is a very reasonable price. all the core 2 duo boards are compatible with the quad processors too if you upgrade again at some stage.
you have a DVD drive you can drop into it?? if not, they're only like $50.
you can also find 2x1 Gb sticks of ram far cheaper than the corsair stuff, but corsair = quality.

SOFT! congrats on getting your ps3 mate. if you want to score some cheap games try ebay.. we can play any region on our ps3 because they arent locked, so you can buy stuff from america.. and since our dollar is so strong usually you can pay anywhere between 50-70 bucks for a title
ps. get warhawk and add aesthetic___ to your psn when you're on next ;)
