nah, it's just it's an 8bit PVA, so it's one of the few lcd's graphic artists can use

led backlight lcd is changing all that apparently though.

it's a good idea for any panel you buy, to get it calibrated or do it yourself with one of those calibration DVD's. You get a feel for how poor most default setups really are and how to correct them. I've tuned my newey bravia xbr LCD with some off the dtv forums and the difference has been night and day. Agree though, blacks aint perfect but high def is spanking good.

Yup.. you got the XBR? Nice.. that's the second best tv out there right now :D. The sony does accentuate colours a bit too much for my liking, but it is great for gaming.

So tell me, how is GT:P?

Actually that's only one slice of the pie -Assuming you're talking about those basic brightness/contrast level discs. Getting a spyder or similiar device to get the colors right is important too. Can do it manually but it's a bit of a pain in the ass and no where near as accurate. Although at the very least backing off the saturation and getting the black / whites gradients right is a good start - Actually more important/makes a greater difference than color. So atleast you've got that done ;)

nah i'm talking the whole kit dude, it helps in reducing certain colour biases and gain's along with aiding in disabling certain features that are supposed to correct imperfections etc, but infact impact overall picture quality etc. There's a dude who has it calibrated perfectly, I decided to simply replicate his settings and the difference from standard was amazing.

Begic, GT5 Prologue, being prologue of course, is a great representation of how good the final game will be.

Car physics are so much more realistic the AI for CPU cars seems a lot better, they don't just simply follow the best driving line and never spin off. They actually give way, move over if you're supposed to etc.

The graphics I can't speak enough of in full hd are unbelievable. So crisp, smooth and vivid. Never any jaggies, haven't noticed any tearing across the screen when things get hectic (as it did a little in Assasins creed) and you have to see in car view, it's good to finally have that brought back from the ol test drive days.

Online is awesome, it's funny when you see everyone fly off at the first corner...lol that too is responsive, hardly any latency (from my experience at least) and pretty addictive since you've finally got a human player to challenge on the other side of the world.

ah so he would've used a spyder or similiar too. and while from panel to panel there are variations. it'd still be more than good! :D gg
