I watched Unthinkable, with Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Sheen and Carrie-Anne Moss, last night. Very good thought-provoking movie that raises questions about the ethics of torture. Highly recommended.

Trailer makes it seem like it's another "ticking time bomb" movie, but it really isn't at all.

was watching 'clash of the titans' on tv before. unwatchable.

last night i watched 'cell 211' it was fantastic

saw this earlier tonight.

:wtf: what a movie. this movie doesn't let down from the 1st second on. pure unadulterated horror thriller suspense. sure we all know who the prime killer is, but the chase for him was solid gold.

i recommend everyone to see this movie. if you are sensitive to blood and gore, have a bucket or bag handy, because there's plenty of it to go around.

Just finished watching Paprika, & I am in love (perhaps mainly due to my growing fascination with this whole postmodernism business).

Serving as a direct influence for Christopher Nolan's Inception, Paprika opens with a ringleader welcoming you to the show, which promptly spills out into a parade, which then spills into the theatre, which is showcasing a sequence of a film that was never completed by a character, which is a dream by someone, which is merging with other dreams, which are under investigation by an agent named Paprika, which is a dream in itself which, akin to the opening parade, spills out into reality (which is just another parade, really [and that's the tip of the iceberg, baby.])

While not the visual treat as say, Tekkon Kinkreet or 5 Centimeters Per Second, the visual direction/animation is quite nice (and tenfold more interesting than plain ol' camera shots :p ) and I didn't really cringe at a single line the entire movie! This flick's earned a permanent residence on my harddrive, right next to 2001: A Space Odyssey, Casablanca, Baraka, & a few others.

just watched true grit. so good. Bridges 100% deserves the oscar again, sad that the oscars is such a circle wank and he won't win it twice in a row :(

I can't find it it's completion on youtube but here are so clips from the movie. It's called 'Fear Of A Black Hat'

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy better than CB4 but still follows along those lines if you had to compare it to another movie.
They are NWH = Niqqas With Hats

Defiantly a great comedy.

Watched Get Him To The Greek last night. Weird movie, but it definitely had some funny moments.

Russell Brand makes me omgLULZ sometimes.

I watched I Saw The Devil last night. Choi Min-Sink was a real stand out for me, but then again I really think he's a fantastic actor. I thought it played too heavily on shock-and-awe. For instance, when Min-Sink acquires laxatives and is then shown sifting through his own , in detail, followed by a close-up of his fingers holding the tracking device, with chunks of clinging to his hand. I think this could have been accomplished, with the same stomach-turning effect, by showing him sifting through the toilet, from an angle that doesn't show the dookie (we know what he's in doing!) and then, because I think it worked so well, showing the pill in his -covered fingers.

Also, the movie is long! And that in and of itself isn't a complaint- I think it's a foolish one, but if a movie feels long, then something probably isn't working. Don't get me wrong, I Saw The Devil does not feel long at all, but it is long, and I think long movies should be held more accountable for the things that they fail to do, for the things that they suggest but neglect to develop. What's up with the fiancees sister? Was there some sort of history between her and Kim Soo-hyeon?? How about the father ?? He seems like an awesome guy, and given his status he could have (should have) been a more important character.

Nonetheless, I really enjoyed it.

Oh, and highlight for spoilers above. Hmmm what color to make invisible?? Black doesn't work, obviously. Grey is worse even. Halp.

Also, InfiniteJest, I get the whole Paprika-as-inspiration-for-Inception bit...but let's try to avoid putting Paprika and Inception in the same sentence, especially when we're talking about Paprika, because they aren't in the same league...or the same galaxy for that matter.
