How can you hate comedies? I can see horror or westerns or something, but comedies?

That movie is ing great, it's actually not a 'spoof' movie at all, it's a true horror movie, it simply takes a little more to see it as such.
I see what you did there.

If anyone wants to see what it looks like when 2 former movie stars' careers tank even further than you thought they already had, I give you Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts in the soon to be released "Larry Crowne"
Awful

lol... Fright Night 2011?
This one looks like it has really good potential. Called "The Debt" with a pretty awesome cast and director:

movie looks bad but i wouldn't say their careers tanked. seemed like they just walked away to explore other options not that they were pushed out...i mean didn't she birth like three kids during her "break?"

haha... yeah I guess she had some kids. But look at their decisions the past 5 years:
Julia Roberts: Larry Crowne, Eat Pray Love, Valentines Day, Duplicity, Fireflies in the Garden, Charlie Wilson's War
Hanks: Larry Crowne, Angels and Demons, The Great Buck Howard, Charlie Wilson's War
All terrible box office tank jobs (except C.W.W. which was respectable). And I don't count the animated movies they did voices for. I never liked Roberts in anything though. At least Hanks does well as a producer, but jesus... bring back the guy that was in Philadelphia, Road to Perdition, and The Green Mile if you're gonna act!

I recommend Source Code. Very interesting concept with a nice twist in the story. Don't read the spoilers. Just watch it. ;)

Nah, I found it rather lame and formulaic. I don't want to say it outright bad, but it really makes nothing out of its ideas. Kinda like Inception. Different enough from the dumbed-down mainstream, but just not memorable or gripping at all, imo.

Melancholia is melancholic.
If you've seen Solaris you may complain that Trier once again ripped off Tarkovsky, but it's not really comparable. See it for the beautiful and (self)destructive Kirsten Dunst, audiovisually stunning prologue and typically Danish Festen-like family bickering in the first act.
