How ze hell did both Grandmas Boy and Beerfest suddenly get mentioned?
Hilarious movies, some of the funniest i saw last year.
But beware of Grandmas boy, Dr.Shakalu's got some crazy-ass Zimbabwe weed that'll turn you into a ing deer.
As for Beerfest, they promised a Potfest but I guess it'll never happen :( |

| Saw "Law Abiding Citizen" last night. I think it had a lot of potential as it had a very strong, yet morally ambiguous premise. Yet, they managed to it up along the way. |

I just read what it is about and lol'd. What the hell were you expecting from that pile of crap?! :wtf: |
Something rife with cool Biblical mythology, not this story that went absolutely nowhere and made NO sense whatsoever :wtf:
Beer Fest was a hilarious movie, I don't think it got the fair shake it deserved. |

Young and Dangerous the triad mafia movie series was great.
Breathless which is Korean was pretty dark but also funny at times.
Tonight is the Japanesa version of the Godfather called Battles without honor and humanity.

Both greats imo. You can stay.
Anyone who so much as admits to seeing From Paris with Love will permanently be on my ignore list. Especially after they added that "royale with cheese" line to the trailer :whip: |

Watched Gamer yesterday. That movie just didn't make any sense whatsoever.
Plus, Michael C. Hall should only be playing Dexter. |

| Gamer is one of those underrated gems that will get proper recognition later. Kinda like Speed Racer. |

I watched 'Gamer' the other night based on a friends review of it. I thought it was a massive pile of . acting, script, plot and directing. I really don't want to waste anymore of my time talking about it, as I've already wasted 90 minutes of my life watching it.
I'm no longer trusting my friends future reviews, on anything. |

Gamer can be hard to watch for a conservative viewer, especially for its frenetically shot action which is very true to the FPS game aesthetics (death is reduced to a mere frag). So far, action movies usually highlighted its most dramatic moments via slow motion, thus giving the audience the opportunity to elevate these scenes to a cult status. Gamer is a big -off to all this, and takes an innovative approach.
The ideas it presents are interesting, too. Here's a great analysis of it.
(I understand any of this won't change anyone's mind, but it is a good read.) |
