I watched Sharknado yesterday and that doesn't fit in any of those...
Also watched Dark skies, was not bad imo. |

| Just watched Jurassic Park 3 thinking it couldn't possibly be worse than the 2nd one. Boy was I wrong. I just don't understand how you could up a dinosaur movie the practically writes itself... the level of dedication to ruining this franchise is impressive |

I know right. I thought it sortof fell into the so bad it's good category though. The characters were just so pathetic and the storyline was so lame. |

there's another one in production, 2015.. but I get the feeling that too will appeal to the lowest common denominator
Sad too I've read both the books and there's so much great material to pull from |

Well, I'd contribute, but the last movie I saw was GI Joe: Retaliation
It was exactly as I expected it to be.
Except the part about the lack of security around the president.
Oh, and Bruce Willis was kinda cool. And ninjas (or ninja wannabes).
also:

I'd only recommend it if you were going for a mindless action flick. |

It was better I thought it would be, a nice surprise for an action movie. I enjoyed the ninja scene in the mountains. Indeed mindless action. |

| I thought The Grandmaster was . Disappointed because I thought the action would resemble Ip Man and Ip Man 2 but I was way off. |

| in loved IP man, the second one kinda pissed me off though cause in reality that fight would've been over in like 5 seconds, maybe I'm wrong, granted I don't know about wing chun but it just seemed to be blown out of proportion. i don't think any martial arts expert would have a problem taking down some slow meat-head boxer |

So these past few weeks ive been on a quest to find relatively recent movies that are not crap...ive just watched Prometheus. I was not impressed.
Seriously, while the movie looked nice, and i appreciate the fanservice of Charlize in tight space clothing (looking remarkably like I imagine Samus Aran would...somone should film that movie! Not Ridley Scot though) it felt that every time a minute passed the characters would drop an IQ point or two. Im not the most educated person, im not a biologist, or an animal behaviour specialist but dumb as i am i would know NOT TO PET THE GIANT HISSING VAGINA FACED SPACE COBRA! ing hell. Also, "How do you know the engineers created us?", "I chose to believe" ... bitch turn in your science degree, you're at it! And finally the way the only half decent character died is the idiocy ball cherry. Who would have guessed that running from a giant spinny spaceship thing in a straight line, just like Shaggy and ing Scooby-doo would would get you killed. Un ing believable.
Next on my to watch list is Avatar. Considering the hype that it got, im fully expecting it to be a complete fest as well. |
