Watched Independence Day Resurgence, thought it was cool, but stupid Will Smith was too expensive while all the others were in it.
After seeing a newspaper article about Star Trek Beyond Escape I decided to go see it in the Barco Escape version. Pretty cool effect on those two additional screens, gave an ultra wide and surround effect. Still can be improved regarding resolution I think, but it has potential and for sure is a reason to go the cinema. They recorded 20 minutes additional footage for this setup.
I liked the story, but I guess most Star Trek fans will.

Just saw Suicide Squad and... well... at least it was better than Batman v Superman

I watched Warcraft. Never played the game, but liked the movie. Nothing to be serious about though.

I haven't seen it yet. How was Leto's Joker?

He was great... for all of the 5 minutes he was actually in it.
That's the most annoying part - he's played a massive role in the trailers and other marketing, but his actual role was almost like a cameo. He was only really there for Harley Quinn's backstory.

Seriously? That's lame.

Yeah. Apparently Leto wasn't exactly thrilled either when he saw the final cut.

That's a real shame. I was a bit sceptical when I heard that the Joker character would be happening again. I figured it would be pretty hard to top Heath's Joker, but Leto is a great actor, and very quirky, so I had some hope there. More hope than for the rest of the cast, lol.
Will report back when I see it. Hopefully this week.

Typical Leto ... If I'm not the queen prima Donna no one can or will be...hissy fit.

Anyone bothered by this new trend, tv shows based on movies? Maybe it was inevitable in a world of sequels, prequels, reboots, and reboots with all female leads. What's next, reality tv, based on sitcoms based on movies, based on books that were loosely based on dramatized fictionalized historic events?

Just watched A Face in The Crowd starring Andy Griffith. The parallels to the modern day election and to Donald Trump are eerily similar. Minus the inherited wealth factor. I highly recommend it. It was Directed by Elia Kazan, who directed On the Waterfront.
