Started a free trial of shudder last week. Cancelled after time was up and they extended the free trial to a month(my girlfriend *claims*). Not too many good horror films, although there were a few that were decent. Watched so many that I can’t remember the names. The wailing was a good one but I’ve seen it before on another streaming service. Wasn’t scary. Girlfriend hated it I thought it was great

If you like over the top Bond like action than The Gray Man (Netflix) is a nice one to watch.
It's Netflix's most expensive movie till now.

I was really expecting total disappointment with Dune, having grown up with the OG 80s film. But, although the pacing was somewhat glacial, I actually enjoyed it. I think it breaks at the appropriate place. This may be unpopular, but I'm looking forward to the conclusion. Visually speaking...we've come a long way since the old 480i days. Watching this in 4K/UHD and HDR at home is fabulous.
Yes I will agree, I think it will be better once the conclusion is released and the films work together as a whole. Probably more fangirl high hopes again but ehhh.

re-reading (almost done now) all of tolkien's major works in preparation for the new amazon series.. discovered they only have the rights to LOTR and appendices and nothing from silmarillion, unfinished tales, history of middle earth, so i re read a lot more than necessary. trailer has me more worried than excited. major characters in trailer don't seem recognizable. don't think i can separate source material from show (not much source material to go on though). bahhhhh
new game of thrones show is ok but can no longer be invested in the series be it book or show
matrix 4 sucks
i know jurassic world will suck but i must watch it anyway.
has anyone watched 'everything everywhere all at once?' it's been on my to watch list for a while and i've heard many good things
edit: also looking forward to glass onion (hopefully tickets available for TIFF for this film)

Not only is it real, it's apparently based on a real story.
