| Saw Tinker Tailor on Sunday and it's absolutely terrific. It requires a lot of attention so if you expect a straightforward Bond-like story you'll be lost and bored by the first 30 minutes. Loved it. |

Finally saw it myself and have to say it was utterly outstanding.
It's actually a masterclass in subtlety; direction, acting, casting, costume, lighting.....just superb. Hurt, Oldman, Strong and Firth just knocked it out of the ing park.
The freakiest thing about it, having grown up in London not too long after that period is how damn well they nailed that point in time. I remember it having that distinct feel, that grit, those houses and cars.
Incredible. I think I'm going to watch it a second time just to try to catch more of the nuances. |

I've been meaning to watch this for a while now, it looks awesome. I may have to bump it up to the top of my list of films to watch.
..... after I've finished watching Sunshine again, of course. |
