just watched Harry Brown earlier tonight. It's a staple kick ass film where a guy is running around looking for vengeance. the script is a bit shoddy. the cinematography was meh. however, this film was all about michael caine, and he took the movie by storm. if you're into movies like 'taken' and 'gran torino', then this is your movie. :p
also saw 'MacGruber' the other night. it's got to be one of the raunchiest closet homosexual movie i have seen in quite awhile. i think the movie covered every homo joke there is in the book + more. certainly enjoyable, but i don't rank this as a good movie. :stongue:

I like Michael Caine, but I thought this was just so generic. I really expected more.

I can't understand this guy. Every single time he appears on a film the story is interrupted by oceanic amounts of blood and gore... and that's it :conf:
you might be thinking of takashi miike, director of ichi the killer?

I felt bad for The Wolfman it was just a huge mess before it got made. Switched directors literally weeks before shooting. Still looking forward to seeing it when I can.
Recently watched..
Fourth Kind. Meh another plain and somewhat boring horror film.
Men Who Stare At Goats. Amazing cast but the story was kind of week and dull in parts but everyone played their parts very well.
Up In The Air. I really enjoyed it but didn't think it was as amazing as everyone said it was.
Just watched Brothers today as well with Tobey Maguire and Jake Gylenhaal. Very well acted and well put together film I thought.
I've got Broken Embraces around as well but haven't had a chance to watch it. Any other Almodovar film lovers around? :p

nice deep movie about death, love and O.D.
Benicio del Torro is amazing as always.
Halle Berry sounds mentally challenged when she cries, as always.

downloaded a screener of Alice in Wonderland (2010) and deleted it after watching a couple of random minutes. just a bunch of epic computer graphics.
i plan on watching Ragtime (Milos Forman, 1981) tonight. hope it's as great as the few scenes seemed

Although the movie was mediocre, you were supposed to see this in a theatre, you cheap . Did you pirate Avatar screener, too? Wouldn't surprise me since it leaked with Russian subtitles.
