"Upgrade" is a nice Australian action/SF movie. Feels a bit as a B-movie, but with a 5 million budget I think it was a good one. Interesting subject when you like robots and stuff. IMDB 7.7
People are going nuts for it. It seems the sentiment is "This is how to do budget scifi".

I watched The Meg, wasn't bad, but I'm saying that knowing that yesterday and today Sharknado 1&2 was on tv :)
Also watched the sci-fi What Happened To Monday last weekend. That was an unexpected pleasant surprise I must say.

I can't quite bring myself to watch sharknado, but the Meg might be the sort of thing I watch on a flight.

The only thing about the megaloden that I like is the square off between statham and the shark, reminded of jaws 1 when they had to kill the fish with just one rifle and and gasoline canister.

So it seems we gotta new joker and a good one to boot, Jaquin has my vote.

Joaquin is actually a great choice but the end of the trailer reveal was a disappointment; The projections on his face were really well done, but that makeup is pretty piss poor, especially when you think of heath ledger's Joker. They've opted for for the cliched John Wayne Gacy clown which was already done in Spawn so I hope they fix it for the actual movie.

I'm not so sure about the face paint I gotta see more acting, but the costume looks original imo.
Silky Johnson
It will suck because you can't do a Joker origin story ffs. But I'll give a chance.
What I'm really looking forward to is The Sisters Brothers.

Just went to see First Man in Imax
What an intense and ing great film. One of the best I've seen in a long time and well worth the $30 imax ticket.
I won't give spoilers (even though we all know the plot duh) but it's filmed beautifully and when you actually realize what the risks were and how ing ramshackle their kit was, it's an incredible feat.
I'll be surprised if Gosling doesn't get nominated for everything. The only thing I felt was a bit of a let down was the score. It wasn't bad, just instantly forgettable and there's so much that could be done with the theme.
