Just watched both parts of Che. How the hell was Benicio del Toro not nominated for an Academy Award for this role? What the ?

Unreal.
woscar
, I have both parts and have not seen them yet. Sounds like a plan for this afternoon.

Wow, just read the actor who played Fidel is Mexican. He nailed the role and the accent.

I watched "Werckmeister Harmonies" yesterday. Pretty interesting movie with some haunting scenes, but altogether Tarr's usage of looooooooong takes started annoying me. I'd recommend this to those who want to see something unconventional and bold, but I guess it's nothing for most people.

i love love love this movie.

Everyone did a great job. Camilo Cienfuegos was awesome. He was such an awesome character. May he RIP cuz I have no doubt in my mind Fidel killed him.

That son of a bitch. He and Che were his top men

apparently this thread has been inactive for over 5 days

so....i liked silent hill and enjoy the resident evil movies. could somebody recommend me something similar?

or any good horror movie that i may not have seen - i'm not really into slashers, more like thrillers/psychological thrillers.

quick! i love watching something scary before bed. thanks thanks!

I could try and recommend horror movies, but if you enjoyed Silent Hill and Resident Evil then we have quite a different taste.

LAdazeNYnights
hit me.
i don't like those as 'damn that was a good movie' more guilty pleasure type thing. if you must know my favorite horror movie, and one of my favorite movies period, has always been and will always be The Shining. I also tend to enjoy some asian horror films. But yeah all I was saying was....not too fond of slashers (though I watched Dead Snow last night and actually enjoyed it immensely...i tend to enjoy anything involving zombies..) anndd every now and then a movie like silent hill really does it for me.

OK, of course make sure you've seen the classics: Hellraiser, Helloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, usually only part 1 and 2. For newer stuff try Jacob's Ladder, Event Horizon or Session 9. If you feel brave watch Eraserhead, if you feel very brave watch Begotten. For pure weirdness try Uzumaki (Vortex) or Gozu. Also, of course, Lost Highway, solely for the Mystery Man scene. Not entirely horror, but some more movies to watch could be Eyes without a Face, The Vanishing, Videodrome and Dead Ringers. For gore go with stuff by Lucio Fulci or Dario Argento and Takashi Miike.
