| Saw 'Match Point' with Scarlett Johansson last night. It's a Woody Allen film, although it's not a comedy. I enjoyed it. Good stuff. |

| Just finished watching Vicky Christina Barcelona. Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz were simply terrific in it. |

| The only good movie I've seen this year was Babel, and it isn't exactly new. Anyone seen Fighting? Should I go or not? |

The first sentence of the review I read told me that it's a movie starring a guy from "Step up" who's fighting to HipHop music. If that's your cup of tea then go, but I personally would prefer looking at the ******** pic for two hours.
Edit: I just saw that RottenTomatoes gives it 41% (about what I expected) but when going only for Top Critics that skyrockets to 100% :wtf:  |

One of my favorite comedies ever, 'The Impostors (1998)' with Oliver Platt & Stanley Tucci has a 6.0 out of 10 on IMDB, so I don't give them much credit (any of the big sites that do reviews), I find that taking it from friends is usually a safer bet.
Platt
The only thing I've read about Fighting was a critic wondering how a movie like this even ended up in the cinema, not as a bad thing, simply because it's not mainstream and can be considered pretty "raw" in some way.
lol at "taking it from friends". |
