Saw "Birdman" this evening. Anything you may have heard regarding the incredible technical prowess behind this film is pretty much spot on; the (what has to be) painstaking one-take follow through on the entire film makes the narrative unfold as though you were watching a play, and both holds your attention and keeps you under a strange sort of pressure the entire time. As far as actual content goes, the movie is a lot of different things with a little bit to say about a lot of different things, and while none of them really supports either the run-time or dragged out climax, it does so in an originally surrealistic and absurdist way that makes it very enjoyable to watch. 3 out of 4 stars, definitely recommended.

I saw mocking jay cuz there was nothing else to do and my friend bailed on me for a studio session. :(

and lemme tell ya, sucked.

Was intermittently watching Hello Ladies: The Movie last night, which was just as ridiculous as the show. The scene with Nicole Kidman was great and unforeseen, though, where she basically plays herself. Definitely deserving of a few giggles.

One of my favorite movies. Hilarious and entertaining all the way through. I would also recommend Housebound as a similar type of movie that's pretty great as well.
