Just finished up "Vanishing on 7th Street". Still not quite sure what I watched, lol. :conf:

This gives me hope! I may finally upgrade my stuff at home this fall to a 4K TV that supports HDR and WCG and a UHD Blu-Ray player so I can pick up the UHD BR of the original Blade Runner. I got the UHD combo pack of Close Encounters of the Third Kind yesterday since I didn't already own the Blu-ray.

I watched Shot Caller, surprisingly good prison/gang thriller.

So who's in for Blade Runner 2049? Nearly everything I've read so far over at the spoiled tomatoes makes it sound as gorgeous and thought provoking as I would hope it to be.

I saw it yesterday, and it was excellent. Way better than I was expecting. Zimmer did a great job with the soundtrack, too.

I feel like I'm going to unfairly hold anything that isn't 'Vangelis enough' against him.

The soundtrack is more atmospheric, and less typical Zimmer-style movie score. Lots of gritty sounding synths.

There wasnt any soundtrack, just some sfx; Thats what it felt like anyway.

I'm really stoked that both "professional" reviewers and good ole sci fi geeks are giving this sequel high marks. I MIGHT get to a theater once every year or two to take in a film, as home viewing on Blu-ray is just so pleasant...but this is one of those films that could drag me out into the public to endure the theater experience.
