To be honest I feel like the convention is where politics is stripped of the bull spin by the media. Especially the documentaries they run between each speaker. I'd rather listen to the speakers and watch the footage free of commentary than have Wolf Blitzer or Pat Buchanen "interpret" it for me.
Primary sources ftw.

Well, I hate CNN & Faux, but MSNBC I don't mind.
I'm not saying the convention doesn't have anything cool/informative, it's just so...ing...hypocritical.
"We need change, we need to end the war, we need American to go in a new direction." Then, I think to myself, hey, I know you, I know your name, I've been following politics for over 3 years, I know how you vote, you haven't tried to end the war, you haven't put us in a new direction, you know nothing of technology. It's a show, that's what the convention is. It's a circus full of clowns. I like Obama, I've been following him since he gave his DNC speech in 2004. I just wish he wasn't friends with other (D)'s. |

Well, I guess I'm not sure who it is you're talking about then.
It is awesome, however, that Ted Kennedy is speaking right now... that's courage. |

how so | all the negative comments geared towards obama is probably because of michelle.
i just have a feeling she;s the one who didn't want to leave the church. she's said a bunch of stupid things on the campaign trail.
she's normally not like this.
i just don't like her. I have my reasons. :) |

Well that has me scratching my head. I really don't know how anyone who has ever listened to her in speeches, interviews, or read her writing could come off with that particular impression, especially considering the violent and radical nature of the Black Panthers. |
