Nothing in Obama's Tax plan indicates any kind of welfare state. He's just going to make small increases in taxes on those who are well off (250k a year +) so that our government can actually pay for the things it needs to do. |

My parents never got help from anyone and yes - okay maybe I used the "share the wealth" thing wrong.
In the end - I don't think anyone should pay taxes.. to help people who can't pay their own tax.

No one should pay taxes to help other poor ppl out.
We should def pay our taxes and build up the 40 quarters of work for SS. psssh.
edit - that shouldn't be the basis to increase taxes on the wealthy atleast. Pay more cuz you make more.. that's it. |

Spread the wealth is what taxation does, wake the up.
Whether you want to help out your fellow COUNTRYMEN or not, you do by paying taxes.
Taxes fund the military to keep you safe.
Taxes pave roads so you can get to work.
Taxes build schools so you and yours don't become complete morons.
Plus they pay down the 10 trillion dollar debt all your beloved fiscal conservative presidents helped create. (And by helped I mean the lion's share). |

I have no problem with the taxes I pay and the taxes my parents pay and on the house etc..
I don't fuking bitch. My mom doesn't bitch.. No one bitches but poor people.
Work a little harder on getting more money and you won't cry.
That's what I think.
& it's not right to penalize ppl for working harder and making money. Pay your certain tax% that's it. |
