Just a rumor at the moment:
"I now have it from two sources close to senior Republicans that they have video dynamite–Michelle Obama railing against “whitey” at Jeremiah Wright’s church. Republicans may have a lousy record when it comes to the economy and the management of the war in Iraq, but they are hell on wheels when it comes to opposition research. Someone took the chance and started reviewing the recordings from services at Jeremiah Wright’s United Church of Christ. Holy smoke!! I am told there is a clip that is being held for the fall to drop at the appropriate time."

I'm skeptical about this for now, of course. But I thought posting it might spur some comment... |
:stongue: god would it be funny if they wait until riiiiiight after the nomination to release these videos. |

If they do have the alleged "Michelle Obama railing against whitey" videos, I'm almost certain they would do exactly that -- wait until Obama gets the nomination before they cripple his campaign for president. It's what makes the most strategic sense... |

| On the other hand, if the videos exist and more people find out about this rumor (Larry Johnson's blog is pretty popular), someone will probably steal a copy and leak it to YouTube in the next couple months... |

Larry Johnson just updated his blog to say he now has three sources close to senior Republican officials saying that they have a tape of Obama's wife "railing against whitey."
Maybe this is the real deal... |

She basically argues that the fact that she's a poor loser, has no ethical standards, and will torpedo Obama's campaign should she not be granted the nomination, makes her the most qualified for the Democratic nomination, and therefore she, and not Obama, should get the nod. |
And that her husband was the first black president :stongue: My favorite, anyone who doesn't vote for her is a racist AND a sexist :stongue: :stongue: |

| That's a pretty ambiguous description of the content of this tape. I'll reserve judgment until I see it or read a transcript. |

I just skimmed through all of the comments on that blog post, and Larry posted the following in one of them...
| quote: | | But I’m not going to lie. I will write stories based on what I know. A little bit ago I had a well connected friend tell me that there is another tape and it features Barack. Obama is not saying something demeaning about whites, but it shows him in a place doing things that will be equally controversial. I won’t go into details until I can confirm with a second source. |
Now while I doubt such a tape of his wife doing that does in fact exist, I would not be surprised in the least bit if there is plenty of other damning evidence out there that people are just waiting to throw at him after he gets nominated.
All of a sudden I feel quite hesitant about him making it to the general election. I hate to say it, but I think he might be ed. |

FFS, some of you need to get a grip. Larry Johnson's blog and his accusations are about as credible as mattsanity and LionsLair until he has anything other than his word for me to take him on. |

I'm by no means saying that I agree with Larry Johnson. I've read through the blog at various points in the past and agree with you on comparing him to Mattsanity. " stirrer" would be the most apt name in this situation.
I'm simply stating what I've thought for a while now; he's going to have a lot of thrown at him once he enters the general election, and given the sheer idiocy of a large portion of America, I see it being something that will be hard for him to overcome. |
