my job has this dope efficiency program for computers that blocks almost anything fun, including chat features (not sure about msn, but it does block out gmail chat). But to answer that question more specifically, i actually don't chat on msn, although i do have an msn email account (not sure if it's the same thing - i'm rather clueless). when's the next party? |

I didnt get it from the media, I got the quote from here. I got the INTERPRETATION from my officemate, who relayed it as "I havent been proud to be an American until now." :p |

And this is the same problem McCain will face in the general election. Both Obama's charisma, and the fact that conservatives wont be enthuasiatic enough to vote for McCain. So the election will come to an energetic democratic base and a demoralized republican base.
Obama does better with Independants (so does McCain), but against McCain, it's charisma vs. straight talk... And McCain's flip flopped too much for his straight talk to be as effective as charisma.
Also, republicans will have to tread lightly given that a black man is running for president. If they bring race into the election, or make one racist remark, they are toast. And we all know the right wing has racism issues they need to overcome, ala Bill Oreilley remarks... but he's about as credible as a camel's backside.
Socialism doesn't apply. Socialism is rooted in the fundamental principles of economic fair play, that is taken from religious values... (Even if they shun religion)... Which is why I'm in favor of a theocratic communist state... but that's another matter entirely. I figured I'd throw you guys a bone to play with just to annoy you. :) |

Notice how that quote isn't really doing much... and who is that woman who said it anyways.
I mean sure, the right wing could run with that and claim so and so isn't patriotic, but the patriotic card has a limited life span. Personally, I think bankrupting America with tax cuts and obscene spending by running up a $5 trillion deficit is lunacy at it's best. And that is what George Bush has been doing for the past 8 years.
Bankrupting America dry does not an effective stategy make. Are conservatives really that spiteful against government spending that they would run up a debt so huge that congress will be forced to cut spending on actual programs just to finance the growing INTEREST payments on the debt.
These guys need to play more Civ 4, or better yet, watch the Enginneering an Empire series on the history channel, because their policies could very well set America back 50 years...
Of course Bush could be operating under the presumption that it will be over in 2011 when the Mayan Calander runs out. --- Some republicans believe in the end of days. Of course when it doesn't happen, then we will all know who the real idiots are, and we can get back to business electing people who actually care about the strength of the country and actually conquer Canada... The Roman's plundered Dacia to finance their projects, why not plunder Canada to finance the mission to Mars. :p |
