the thing that scares me about that prospect is the perspective it gives him on the way an economy functions--something of which he can not be anything but oblivious.

then again, that can easily be said for nearly every democratic politician and, by this point, many of the republicans.

To be honest with you, I'm scared to death of what's going to happen with the economy regardless of who is elected president. It's the one area where even though I obviously would like more government intervention (YAY SOCIALISM! :p), and thus prefer the dems, in truth I don't like and/or have faith in any of the relatively minuscule economic of any of the "Big 3 (2)" have out there right now.

well, unless mccain wins, we're about to get a big scoop of socialism. if he does, we'll just get poor management and a general lack of direction when it comes to the economy--kinda like these past few years, after bush decided to sink the ship by bringing friedman onboard.

you ask for it, you got it. tooooyooootaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Dude, can you guys have the Dalai Lama instead of Edwards? It would be awesome, think about it:

  • Their names rhyme;
  • The Dalai Lama would meditate serenely in search of world peace. Meanwhile, Fundamentalist Christians would claim he's the Anti-Christ;
  • For the better (or for the worse), the problem with Tibet would soon be over;
  • Both belong to minorities in the US;

I'm going to buy www.obamalama2012.com, just in case :D
