Mccains time was 2000 but because nepotism is alive and well in our corrupt system we call goverment he missed his chance.

The whole "share the wealth" thing is more a political sound bite rather than an actual policy being proposed by Obama. Obama's tax proposals will either not change or decrease your tax burden if you make less than $603,000 a year. Those making in excess of $603K have been getting off easy for years thanks to the Bush tax cuts; it is time for them to pay their fair share. I'm sorry, but if you are making that kind of money you are going to be hard pressed to get me to feel sorry for the amount of taxes you are paying. And anyone making that kind of money can afford financial advisors who know how to get them the maximum tax shelters anyway. Nobody will not have to work because of Obama's tax policy, you can't collect a large income tax refund if you aren't working and paying taxes.

McCain's proposals decrease taxes for everyone, but a disproportionate amount of the decrease ends up going to people who make over $250K. How exactly is the government supposed to continue to function when it is cutting its revenue source across the board while it is already in a deficit situation? More deficit spending of course. This is exactly the kind of fiscal irresponsibility that has run rampant in the Bush administration and that mentality needs to be purged from the Republican party ASAP. McCain's tax plan is not something the country can afford right now. Yeah, Obama's plan results in deficit spending also, but it is going to cost the country over $1 trillion less.

What are you talking about? McCain is a product of the "my daddy was an Admiral" syndrome.

i really really dislike the thought of sharing wealth because i feel there is alot of ppl - who can physically fuking work - that will take advantage of that system.

I'm really strongly against that. Hope it doesn't go through. I don't give a fuk what others may think. I work hard to live my life. Why can't you?

edit - my main jist w/ Obama. Although it really grinds my gears. I had to put it aside because he is going to win regardless.

sorry but taxes no matter how you spin it IS sharing wealth. how else are we supposed to have infrastructure, education programs, etc? and not too many of us here make that much to be affected by the plans offered by Obama anyway. except maybe jerz

me are you guys all buying into this sharing the weath idiocy?

Taxes are redistribution of wealth. He just wants it to be shared more EVENELY so that people who really NEED the help get it.

Nothing in Obama's Tax plan indicates any kind of welfare state. He's just going to make small increases in taxes on those who are well off (250k a year +) so that our government can actually pay for the things it needs to do.

and, it's been DONE BEFORE. Obama wants to return to the state it was in during the Clinton administration. The people who want to yell "SOCIALIST" won't see that though, nor will they ever.

Nor do they have any understanding of what socialism really is.
