They've got McCain or Obama at this point - if they go the McCain route, they weren't planning on voting the issues anyway, but I have a hard time believing all that many people are going to jump ship just because Clinton is out. |
I agree with you up to an extent, but what you're not taking into account is the choice of declaring no choice, that is, not voting. I can't pull up any numbers for you on how many people won't vote in November, but there's a lot of extremely intelligent people that just won't vote in November for different reasons (they feel their voices aren't being heard re: Florida/Michigan, they feel the Independents and Republicans in the caucus states voted for Obama while the Dem. choice was obviously Clinton, stuff like that, etc.)... My parents feel this way, and while I disagree with them and have urged them to vote, they are still very intelligent and informed people and feel this way. So for two very intelligent people to feel this way means there's more out there, not to mention many more uninformed people who feel this way. This should be a huge concern to Obama, and I guarantee you it will be.

Picking Hilary for VP, as I said before, would be an incredibly transparent move, even for a politician - and I genuinely believe it would hurt, and not help his campaign. |
I agree to an extent, again. Yes it will hurt him with a key group (usually the younger group) of people who genuinely thought he "wasn't just another politician." I like to disagree with that, his actions prove that he was, but for the sake of this argument, let's say most people my age felt like this. When you pin up the few people who wouldn't support him because of such a move, vs. the millions of people who would jump on board now that it's a Obama/Clinton superticket, he'd be retarded not to at least THINK about making her VP. |

Nope... Just saying, whichever Republican mastermind (which they are when it comes to campaigns) has dibs on this video is obviously not going to release it TODAY, people will forget about it by August. Dirty politics is the name of the game (unfortunately, but it's sad and true), and we're going to see a barrage of come out about Obama, who, say it like it is, is a guy most Americans don't know too much about. This isn't conspiracy theorism, it's common sense that the Republicans know how to run a negative and EFFECTIVE campaign. |

Fair enough. I just tend not to speculate on things like until they become a reality. |

| I thought Hillary was waiting on an opportunity to argue the Michigan and Florida point, but maybe she's waiting on this infamous tape. She obviously thinks theres some reason to stay in the election pool, more than just "Im a sore loser." I think she's smarter than that. |

Yeah, she wants to Obama in the ass and wants to see him lose, so that she can run for presidency again in 4 years. |

If anyone wants a perfect example of the depths to which some will descend, and the hatred and vitriol some will display in order to attempt to destroy a candidate they despise, look no further than the current hoax going around the blogosphere about the alleged tape of Michelle Obama screaming about "Whitey" while seated next to Louis Farrakhan.
This was all started by Larry Johnson on his site, No Quarter. I’m purposely not posting a link so as not to give him any more traffic. If you want to Google it go ahead, but I would suggest not wasting your time.
This is what he posted:
"I learned over the weekend why the Republicans who have seen the tape of Michelle Obama ranting about "whitey" describe it as "STUNNING." I have not seen it but I have heard from five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape. It features Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan. They are sitting on a panel at Jeremiah Wright’s Church when Michelle makes her intemperate remarks. Whoops!!"
First of all, there is no tape. This rumor has been going around for weeks with no evidence yet. It is either the "October Surprise" that the Republicans plan to spring on Obama, or the reason Hillary Clinton is hanging around, depending on which version of the lie one believes.
Secondly, this screwball is ranting about something he hasn’t even seen. Personally, I think if such a tape existed, with the desperation of the Clinton camp, we would have seen it by now.
More about Mr. Johnson. I don’t throw this term around lightly, but he is a nutjob with a capital N. Lest anyone think Johnson is a right-wing kook, a conservative website that I frequent, Sweetness & Light, has this to say about him:
"We have refrained from commenting on this preposterous rumor because it is such a transparent ploy from a man who is (in my opinion) a notorious America-hating buffoon and pathological liar."
There is a history of Johnson posted there also, where his previous statements and predictions further prove he is worthy of every word in the above sentence. |

Apparently this tape that Mr. JBJ has been so eagerly awaiting is sped-up footage of Michelle Obama saying "Why'd he lie? Why'd he steal?" Just goes to show you - don't buy anything right-wing bloggers and FoxNews tell you at face value.

My old friend, Larry Johnson, knows about manipulating elections from his training with the Central Intelligence Agency. He doesn't want Obama to win the nomination for whatever reason, and he's in full propaganda mode to do everything he can to frighten the superdelegates. He claims to have a shocking tape of Michelle Obama ranting in some anti-white diatribe. He promises to produce this tape tomorrow at 9am.
From what I understand, it is a tape of Michelle Obama criticizing the Bush administration.
How you'd write it:
Why did Bush cut folks off medicaid?
Why did Bush let New Orleans drown?
Why did Bush do nothing about Jena?
Why did Bush put us in Iraq for no reason?
How you'd say it:
Why'd he cut folks off medicaid?
Why'd he let New Orleans drown?
Why'd he do nothing about Jena?
Why'd he put us in Iraq for no reason?
How Larry Johnson wants you to hear it:
Whitie cut folks off medicaid?
Whitie let New Orleans drown?
Whitie do nothing about Jena?
Whitie put us in Iraq for no reason?
I'm going to be honest with you. Both SusanHu and Larry Johnson have been friends of mine. They have both done a lot for me and I am grateful and indebted to them. Any issues I've had with their activities in this election I have kept private. I haven't visited their site in four months because I found it too personally painful to read what they were writing and I did not want to be tempted to respond. I thought I owed them that. But loyalty can only go so far. If they publish this allegation tomorrow, I will no longer speak with them. And I say that with great sorrow.
This election has ruined a lot of friendships. I have tried hard not to let it ruin mine. But smears of this type are unforgivable. I have been forebearing. Perhaps, in retrospect, I have been too forebearing. That's all I say. This is too painful to me. |

Dude, it's a message board with comments, I'm sure I could find a pro-slavery forum or pro-rape or something... The fact is, she's going to drop out sometime in the next week or week and a half, obviously, I don't see how anything has to do with her mods lol... You really expect the all-powerful mods to allow comments like "It's about time, bitch!"? It's not like she hand-selected a few powerful individuals to be in charge of it all, it's kids in college probably working for free. This goes to show that whatever people can find wrong with her and her campaign, no matter what, they will, even her website's blog's message moderators disgusts you, give me a break. |
I don't expect them to permit "It's about time, bitch." I do expect them to post messages politely urging her to concede.
Also, did you bother to look at the comments about Obama that they are permitting, even after he's won? So much for Hillary trying to get a Democrat in the White House. |
