:haha:

Saw a couple billboards in Nevada on the drive home yesterday. I'm shooting to be there that weekend. Probably more for Roger Sanchez during the day and night on Saturday @ Marquee. Who knows? Maybe I'll end up buying a last minute EDC ticket from one of you.

Insomniac Enters Into Partnerships With Three Las Vegas Charities

Insomniac Dedicates Portion of Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas Ticket Sales Revenue to Local Charities

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - May 31, 2011) - In preparation for Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Insomniac has entered into exciting local partnerships to make charitable donations to three exceptional Las Vegas charities. Insomniac will donate $1 for each ticket sold and $10 from each guest list attendee to charitable organizations. Insomniac has selected three local organizations as partners: the Clark County School-Community Partnership Program, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the Injured Police Officers Fund - Las Vegas.

"We believe it's extremely important to give back to the communities that host our festivals and support our events," said Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac's CEO and founder. "We have a charitable component to our California festivals and we are working on a nationwide charitable initiative, benefiting the communities where our wonderful fans live and visit during our events."

The Clark County School-Community Partnership Program connects business and community resources with schools to enrich the educational experience and increase student achievement. The Clark County School-Community Partnership Program began in 1983 as a pilot program of seven schools partnered with seven businesses. Since that time, it has grown to hundreds of partnerships with programs that range from kindergarten to twelfth grade, from tutorial programs to scholarships, from science activities to fine arts programs. Insomniac's partnership will help support, supplement and complement Arts Education Programs in Clark County public schools.

"The Clark County School District School-Community Partnership program is thrilled to be partnering with Insomniac to support curriculum-based Arts Education programs for our students," said Bridget Phillips, Director of the Clark County School-Community Partnership Program. "At a time when other school districts are forced to cut arts and music programs, the generous support of Insomniac will help make sure this generation of Clark County students will truly appreciate the arts."

"We understand the importance of promoting arts and music education, making the Clark County School-Community Partnership Program and The Smith Center a perfect fit," added Rotella. "We want to encourage the development of young artists that, in the future, will help make Electric Daisy Carnival even better."

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is a public/private partnership, opening in 2012, which will become the centerpiece of cultural life in Las Vegas. In December 2010, The John F. Kennedy Center chose The Smith Center as the fourth partner city for Any Given Child, a program that will create a long-range arts education plan for Las Vegas area students. The program will incorporate existing resources of the Las Vegas school system, along with those of local arts organizations and the Kennedy Center to ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive a solid and meaningful arts education.

"We're grateful to supporters like Insomniac who recognize what our organization does to embrace and support the community, particularly when it comes to arts education and children," said Myron Martin, President and CEO of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. "Thank you to Insomniac for acknowledging The Smith Center."

The Injured Police Officers Fund (IPOF) was formed in October 1982 to help reduce the financial burden suffered by police officers and their families in the event of a line of duty injury or death by providing monetary assistance to these officers and their families. IPOF currently assists over 8,000 officers and their families in Nevada.

"Insomniac truly is a friend of the IPOF," said Minddie Lloyd, executive of the IPOF. "Dedicating a portion of ticket sales from Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas to the IPOF will have an incredible impact towards our efforts in protecting those who protect our community."

"For Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, we are working closely with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to make this one of our safest events to date, so honoring an organization close to them is important to us," said Rotella.

Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas will take place June 24-26, 2011, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Headlining acts include Tiesto, David Guetta, and Swedish House Mafia. Tickets are now on sale at http://www.electricdaisycarnival.com/LasVegas/.

Suggested Tweet: A portion of ticket sales at @insomniacevents @EDC_LasVegas will go towards @SmithCenterLV, @ClarkCountySch & Injured Police Officers Fund.

Keep up with Insomniac announcements and news on Facebook and Twitter.

That's cool. What LovEvolution SFdoes with all its spare money (donates it) it has from the donations at the gate. Since it's non-profit. :P

Gotta play politics to protect your investment. Bill Gates failed to do this in the 90's. Don't blame them.
