I wonder how many 18, 19, 20 year old are going to show up in vegas that weekend with a confirmed hotel reservation just to find out that they wont be allowed to check into their hotel. So if this applies to you make sure your hotel will allow you there as Vegas does not cater to the 18, 19, 20 year old crowds. It would be a hell of a waste of a trip and money to be young and uninformed on this issue. Pretty much you can expect that if the hotel has a casino you wont be allowed to stay there. And even if you do find a hotel that will let you stay you will pretty much be limited to your room only. The Nevada gaming commission is hardcore on their rules and there are sure to be issues for you if you dont do your homework. On another note I hope that by having it in Vegas this year that it will mostly be 21+ with hopefully a lot less immaturity and problems. Not to say that there arent plenty of irresponsible 21+ party goers but there are definitely a lot less than the previously mentioned age group. Once again if you arent atleast 21 check with your hotel or there are sure to be a lot of sad 18, 19 and 20 year olds showing up to Vegas with absolutely nothing to do. I put this post up because I had to learn this lesson the good old hard way when I was 18! Cant wait to see what Vegas will bring to EDC this year!!! See you all there!

There are hotels that don't have casinos. As a matter of fact, my favorite place to stay at is Vdara. Vdara is all suites and residencies. It doesn't have a casino at all and the entire hotel is non-smoking too. It's a very nice place and def my choice. Everyone there treat you like you own the place and they go way out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

They're very good at remembering your name. Last time I stayed there, everyone kept calling me Mr Martinez. Parking is valet only and it's for hotel guests only. I had this convo when I picked up my car to go to Rain.

"Hello Mr Martinez! Out for a night of clubbing?"
- Yes

"What club will you be going to?"
- Rain

"Awesome club. Do you need directions to get there?"
- No, thank you.

"Are you planning on drinking and want me to have a taxi go pick you up?"
- No, thank you.

Seriously, what other hotel does that? Excellent service, not too steep on the price, hotel smells really good and it's beautiful!

almost any room you book in Vegas is fully refundable... might as well book something if the rate is good and then cancel if you don't go.

O ye? Didn't know. I was about to book Luxor, thanks for the info though. Either way a lil update or at least an "official" EDC thread would be good.

if you book direct with the hotel, yes.

if you book via priceline, good chance.

expedia... yes with penalty (i think).
