I'm giddy for the potential of 50k+ 18-20 yr old candy kids running around the strip before/after the show. hilarity to ensue...

Going to be the best edc ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dusk till dawn!!!!!!!!! YES!!!

Where do you guys think they're guna hold it? My guess goes towards the speedway

By moving it to LV, edc is now a national event with people all over the country will come for as opposed to the coliseum where 90% of the crowd were candy kids from ghetto LA. The more I think about this, I like it, its going to keep alot of the bad element in LA, and less of the grimy that comes with these events held here in socal

This is good news...What worries me is IF this is going to be held outside...
There will be MORE deaths from heat stroke and exhaustion than ALL Insomniacs events combined.

because Vegas doesn't have any "ghetto" areas either.

weather in LV is too hot & dry for me. and sometimes it's hard to breathe. they'll need to bring in water misters for this one.

Haha... yeah, go a block or two off the strip or Fremont St. (especially Fremont St.) and it can get pretty bad.

My only concern is the heat if it's a hot summer it will be 80 still long after midnight.

Vegas police have never liked raves, at least the 6 years I lived out there they always showed up and shut it down. But money talks we've seen that with the LA city official stuff :haha:

Significantly downsizing EDC compared to EDC 2010 makes it more of a national event? Moving EDC slightly to the northeast of LA won't make the event THAT much more accessible to the rest of the nation.

The per capita "griminess" level will go down compared to EDC 2010 because the event is 18+, but I am not convinced that the griminess level for EDC 2011 would increase if it were still held in the Coliseum compared to LV... there are LV Daniel Kandi kids too and perhaps they have been wanting a big event for a long time.

The choice of venue may make a difference. If EDC were held inside populated areas of LV, say the Orleans Arena, this may attract more locals.
