Anaheim used to have a NBA D-League team called the Anaheim Arsenal. In 06, Amir Johnson was on I believe Grand Rapids or one of those North Mid-West cities. His entire family from LA was at the game, and as he was shooting a free throw I yelled "PISTON'S REJECT!!!" and his dad, about 6'10" came over and threatened to fight my buddies and I. We were dying laughing, we even had a security guard the rest of the night as we kept taunting his son on the court.
The highlight was when he missed a slam dunk, and tried chasing the ball out of bounds. The ball comes into our direction, and when he stops chasing it, he gave us the dirtiest glare I have ever received from any professional athlete. Mind you, I've had season tickets to the Angels, Kings, and Galaxy. |
