| I think last years line up was almost perfect (except Will.I.Am and Benassi on the main stage instead of Emery). So I wonder what they're gonna do this yr to surpass last. |

oh great, AGAIN! |
While I wouldn't want to see either of those DJs again, one of my fondest EDC memories was from Day 1 of 2009 when ATB came on after over an hour of music from the totally out of place Thievery Corp. A bunch of people (myself included) were getting very disappointed with the way the night was shaping up and the Coliseum floor was thinning out. Then ATB comes on with (surprise, surprise) "Ecstasy" and the place when nuts. Everyone on the Coliseum floor rushed to the front and started dancing again. |

It being at the end of June...as late June - August is the slowest time for Vegas tourism (because of the heat - gamblin./betting is slowest in February, but it's largely because there's only one major sport being played right now so the sports books are super slow)...should really help people when it comes to getting rooms.
I bet if you are patient you can find great deals for rooms/suites that weekend.
Keep an eye on this thread. The old thread had insane deals all the time. MGM Grand Suites (through companies who sell it for people who own the suites?) for $70-$80 on Friday/Sat nights and stuff.
A lot of times the best deal is only 48-72 hours so you have to check often. |

Neither has a casino though. I'd recommend a wraparound suite at the Cosmopolitan Hotel if you really want a sick suite. |

Yeah, hydraton could be an issue (because we know most of the people won't be "sober"). You get dehydrated in Vegas far easier than anywhere around LA. It doesn't even have to be hot. It's just so dry, you lose a lot of fluids through evap. You don't even realize it.
We know Insomniac will have the free water stations at least (BECAUSE IT'S POLICY WITH INSOMNIAC NOW, RIGHT?)...I just hope they prepare and have a more to cut down on lines because the water lines should be busier if people are taking care of themselves.
This event could be something crazy if the lineup is right and ther's no issues with parking or trying to get into the venue (Vegas isn't used to this type of event). Not worried about the production. |
