Haha... that's what I get for not doing my homework. But I wasn't comparing the level of shadiness of the Strip vs. elsewhere in the LV area

The disparity between the Strip and even one block off the Strip is amazing... same thing for Downtown.

Does anyone know when most tickets are sold to events like EDC?

LOL... I know this is a lame answer, but I'm sure someone knows. Pasquale has to in order to make decisions, as do the marketing teams. Does anyone here is a much better question. Henry might, but I doubt he's willing to talk about it here. It's very much a business sensitive topic.

Yes it is a bit of a sketchy place around the speedway....its more of a lower income residential area, but that is just the general area there are nowhere near bothering you at the event itself. There have been several things mentioned on the EDC website and affiliated websites referencing transportation to and from hotels on the strip.

So don't worry...transportation options WILL be provided from hotels on the strip as Mayor Goodman signed off on this particular event with the expectation that the event will provide a financial boon to the strip. This is how Vegas works.

Also, I'm pumped its not in LA. Shady people is right. Most of the fights and problems I've encountered on the Strip as a resident in Vegas have been caused by SoCal miscreants stirring up on a weekend drive up to Vegas. Obviously I'm not lumping everyone into that but there are a lot of punk ass kids that drive up from So Cal and act like fools on a weekend. Vegas will cut out a lot of that home grown crowd as this event will actually take someone of a reasonable financial equity to make the trip from Cali and elsewhere which will provide a better overall experience for us.

I would be really surprised if this sells out TBH

Unless they finally took head out of and decided to only sell a reasonable amount of tickets (60-70k)

But since this is insomniac they are probably going to shove in 100k+ people again, and i doubt that many people will be going, so...

I could be wrong, just my observations

Taxis are about $55 each way from the strip I understand to the venue... with no traffic

this venue is HUGE. it holds 150,000 people in the seats alone.... i doubt selling out will be an issue....

I've seen car rentals in Vegas as low as 10 bucks a day if you book it with you're hotel and airfare
