Source = common sense...
I really doubt that little girl had enough money to drop on several grams of molly that would be needed to od -.-
She drank to much water, and sodium levels dropped which resulted in her brain swelling up. |

Please, tell us YOUR definition of "rave"
While i would call EDC a massive, that word is just explaining the type of "rave" it is.
My definition is an even where primarily EDM music is played (for more than 3.5 hrs JK) |
Rave ray-vh : The event in which a party occurs as hidden from mainstream as possible at a predetermined, yet unknown to the public location, where you must travel to at least one marker site to receive information pertaining to the party. The party itself is illegal, hidden from the public/cops, setup to where the entire sound system can be taken away in a matter of a minute to be able to escape detention from police authority. The party is for dance enthusiast who are there to primarily dance and enjoy great music. Ecstasy and other drugs are consumed to enhance the experience of the music.
Basically if its legal, it isn't a rave |

| I think that might've been the plan when it was still going to be in LA this year. When it moved to Vegas, it went to two days. |

Wow, everyone made a big deal about this and all the big events in Cali have been squashed because some dumb retard drowned herself? |

Who said she bought it?
Most of the times at parties I see dudes giving girls countless pills. So on top of the ones she already had taken this its very likely...
And do you KNOW how much water you have to drink to die, a WHOLE lot. This radio station had to learn it the hard way.

EDC is 18+. But someone brought up a good point that Vegas hotels only let you stay there if you are 21+ |
You can still stay in the hotel if you're under 21, you just have to be checked in by someone who's 21+ |

Almost all ecstasy deaths are caused by overheating or drinking too much water. |

You can check into Vegas hotels that don't have casinos if you're under 21. |

| So EDC's FB page shows that tix go on sale this Monday and the lineup will be announced later. After Beyond Wonderland, I won't buy tix on blind faith anymore, and if the tix are too expensive when the lineup's announced, that's a no go as well. Perhaps I should just cancel my hotel room and get out while I'm ahead! :whip: |

So you're saying somebody fed her 20+ pills?

"The human body (as with other animals) maintains an equilibrium of electrolytes including salt in the bloodstream as part of its normal operation. Sweating causes the body to lose salt, but the primary cause of hyponatremia in Ecstasy users is drinking enormous amounts of water, which dilutes the salt in the body to a dangerous level. Unfortunately as the electrolytes get out of balance, body systems start to fail and (because of the blood brain barrier), the sufferer starts to exhibit signs of crisis such as diarrhea, over salivation, stupor, vomiting, muscle tremors, confusion, frequent urination, and other general symptoms of illness, and their brain begins to swell. This swelling is called a 'brain edema' or 'cerebral edema' and can (and does) lead to brain damage, paralysis, and death.
According to C. Haller, MD from the California Poison Control Center in San Francisco, hyponatremia (although actually rare among users) is one of the most common causes of ecstasy deaths or serious injuries. In England, perhaps the most notorious death associated with Ecstasy in the mid 90's was Leah Betts. Sadly, Leah died after taking Ecstasy for her birthday with friends and then drinking enough water to cause her death.
The dangers of drinking water obsessively while high are real. If you're drinking a lot of water, in any context, mixing in some salty snacks or drinking sport drinks will keep your salt and electrolyte levels healthier and can prevent hyponatremia. People on E very often do not want to eat anything, so salty snacks tend to be a ineffective option. While some people find these sugary/salty drinks are unappealing, others find that they quench the thirst better than water...and they can definitely help prevent both hyperthermia and hyponatremia" |
