Here is a list of those who have already committed via twitter feeds:

Afrojack
Bart B More
Calvin Harris
Cosmic Gate
Hernan Cattaneo
Diplo
Feed me
Ferry Corsten
Manufactured Superstars
Paul Van Dyk
Porter Robinson
Robbie Rivera
Sander Van Doorn
Skrillex
Tritonal
Wolfgang Gartner

PVD, SVD, Ferry Corsten and Hernan Cattaneo are the standouts there. Hernan is probably my favorite House DJ and should be an amazing vibe when he has the attention of the crowd there...hopefully a mainstage act. Robbie Rivera...a few good tunes....saw him at Wet Republic (MGM Grand) last summer...was alright. PVD is a great as always.

As for the folks throwing around Hawtin, maybe the best we could hope for is Loco Dice as Richie has a residency at Amnesia Ibiza during this time with Sven Vath. Same with Marco Carola and the rest of the Minimal guys. I'd kill for some Danny Tenaglia though...not sure what he's up to

Poor hernan prolly will bang out a set with no one around because they have no idea wtf they are doing, and waiting for afrojack.

LOL possibly....Hernan has made a point to make it out to Vegas lately as he played at Wet Republic on their Sunday gigs....maybe that will have given him at least some exposure to the Vegas masses as he isn't too well known in the good ol' USA. He had people grooving to his set at Wet Republic last year but nothing compared to the muscleheads and lemmings going gaga for Deadmau5 and Swedish House Mafia. I foresee Paul Oakenfold spinning unless his contract at the Palms prevents him from doing so, as he is a resident in Vegas now.

I bought three day regular admission tickets...probably will go Fri/Sat....doubt Sunday, but we'll see who's playing. If Daft Punk and Diggers come, well....stand by!

They need to change this, too much so called proggy house these days contains a lot of trance elements from start to finish. I honestly think they need to change the name to expo-trance or something of the like. There is nothing housey about these tracks.

example: Soundprank - The Far Side

Also, many think that trance is only suppose to be fast, but in the 90's alot of it carried a slow pace, or what I call an intermission.

example: Andy Blueman - Time to Rest

Genre's change and get re-defined over time. Heck, a lot of the prog (house) today would be considered prog-trance in the 90s. But prog-trance today prob wouldn't be called prog-trace in the 90s. Evolution of EDM.

Trance tracks in the 90s also had real BREAKdowns. They put breaks in it. Over time this changed into BUILDUPS (though most people still called it a breakdown)....then like 2-3 minute "come on get the beat going again" buildups. Gosh it can drive me nuts when they are long.

No offense to him as a person, but his success already has. I do not understand what the draw is of "music" like his. Then again, I'm a melody guy myself.

Seriously dude -.-

I actually decided to watch his set @ coachella with some friends who wanted to see him and I just don't get it... I went in with an open mind and it was just plain BAD music... LIKE WTF!!!!

Thank the lord for mount kimbie later that day to save my soul from that wretched and goth trad the next day to give me some true deep medi dubstep

to me, progressive house = Hernan, Sasha, Digweed, etc.

Bingo. SvD isn't playing trance in those video (I never said he was purely a trance DJ, I said he mixes it up), but it's not progressive house.

SvD plays that stuff to tech-house to tech-trance to other styles to own Purple Haze to W&W in his sets, too. So, as I said, he mixes it up.

Going by a DJ's set in Vegas of all cities isn't the best way to judge. DJs are known to play kinda a weird in Vegas sometimes, a bit off their own usual style. Or should I say, their sets are definitely more oriented towards a Vegas-style audience. And Vegas audiences like that stuff. Markus was amazing last time he was at Marquee by all accounts, but I've even heard he's played a bit weird there in the past, too.

yeah, the first ~20 minutes of markus' last set at marquee were a bit weird as he was trying to transition the dance floor from the top 40 kids to his own fans... he's made a couple admittedly cheesy tracks just for this purpose, like a mashup with elements of diddy's 'coming home,' and a remix of 'like a g6.'

i'm thinking he realized that last time around -- when he was off and running down the rabbit hole as soon as he hit the decks -- the dance floor almost shut down because his fans were trying to get on, but the top 40'ers hadn't left the dancefloor yet. actually pretty savvy of him, or maybe i'm reading too much into it :)

I checked out Skrillex at Coachella as well. He was train wrecking for about the first 15 min. His mixing was all F'd up. I just can't get into the dub step vibe. I left the tent when the lead singer from Korn came on. But...I do have to give the dude credit the tent was packed solid for a early afternoon time slot.
