yes but insomniac should not be expanding beyond what their business can cope with. clearly they are well over extended with all these other shows. they need to hire more staff and get more organized before trying to conquer america. their reputation is already suffering because of their disorganization of this edc.

yep for sure. mistakes get made when companies try to expand too fast and their brand suffers as a result :(

Is anybody else annoyed with insomniac spreading cali festivals accross the country? Like EDC Orlando, Nocturnal Texas etc.. I feel like it takes the uniqueness out of the events in a way. I mean, you dont see Ultra Houston and like that, or do you? I dont mind Insmoniac going big, but I believe each city should have their own unique event; Kind of like what they did with electric forest. I have a cousin in dallas who just goes on and on about how their edc will be better than LV, and its effin annoying.. But I guess thats business, A festival with and EDC label will probably sell more tickets..

Who cares where it is? Personally I'm much more apt to go to a festival in Vegas than one in LA. There's nothing unique about running into a bunch of wannabe gangsters in the parking lot on the way back from a good night which is what LA is known for. , after some baseball fan gets put into a come for wearing a Giants jacket, god knows anything can happen after an event in LA. I don't think LA gives any sort of uniqueness to an event....I personally think there will be less people trying to revive the candyrave scene they missed cause they were in diapers...People will actually have to make travel arrangements to do it up right in Vegas.

By the way, I'm PUMPED about Richie Hawtin. Growing up in Cleveland, he used to swing through there all the time due to the close proximity to Detroit...his sets never disappoint

You're basing that off one show (LV). They've done great so far with all of the other EDCs.

they recently hired the former managing partner of tryst and xs as their coo, so i imagine they're doing just fine organizationally. the lagging lineup for the vegas edition is probably them scrambling to fill the event with bigger names than they originally contracted given that they've been marketing the hell out of the event in the media and want it to be bigger than planned.

wishful thinking perhaps.
