I went to EDC Puerto Rico last year. Fun times. Lineups was whatever though....best act was prob Wolfgang Gartner.
Main state was Will I am , Ap de Ap, LMFAO and Moby...started raining really bad during Moby's set so the closer didn't get to close. Think it was Steve Bug. |

For those wondering what might be coming... well... here's some names off the Groovetickets site for EDC CO. I yawned as this is clearly the same stuff we've had for the last two years now I feel like. Nothing inspiring.
Electric Daisy Carnival - Colorado (Denver)
Talent:
Ferry Corsten, Axwell, Kaskade, Sander Van Doorn, DJ Z-Trip, BART B MORE, LA Riots, Treasure Fingers, Feed Me, ana sia, kraddy, Eliot Lipp, Noisia, Datsik, J Majik, sigma, NumberNin6
Link to it here
Combined with what the Orlando show has supposedly leaked...
Electric Daisy Carnival - Florida (Orlando)
Talent:
Afrojack, Benny Benassi, Calvin Harris, Claude VonStroke, Datsik, Diplo, Feed Me, Ferry Corsten, Gabriel & Dresden, Goldie, Paul Van Dyk, Skrillex, Tiesto, Wolfgang Gartner
I can honestly say right now... I'm let down with them even bothering asking who we would like to see last year. It's like it all got tossed out the window.
At best right now, I'm looking at spending maybe a day there if this is what they choose to bring. Hell, maybe I'd go spend my money in the smoke filled clubs rather than go.
Here's a simple answer, give the people a tease of a few names from each stage each day. You would sell more tickets. I get it though, it is a money game so they will wait to entice someone like me even though the tickets are higher priced. Something better come out after Coachella, or, with the three day thing, I'll have completely lost faith in the event at this point. |

yea i've heard stories about stuff like that, which was why i asked. i still would like to know if camelbaks are allowed. :-\ |
Camelbacks are not allowed at any Insomniac events.
Insomniac just threw their first party in AZ and the rules were the same here.
All 18+ events, no LED glowtoys of any means (fingerlights, etc), no backpacks over 12"x12" (it might have been 10"x10")
For those of you that haven't noticed yet...
For once Kaskade will not be on the line-up for EDC Vegas. He said on Twitter that he will not be playing.
Also, according to Benny Benassi & Skrillex on twitter:
Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Diplo, Feed Me, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Skrillex, Wolfgang Gartner, & Tiesto
(edit: not sure if this is for Vegas or Orlando, or anything tbh)
Sounds reasonable. If they have Tiesto they won't need Armin tbh. Also, whoever wants Umek on an EDC line-up...really doubt that would happen, ever, really. Plus, I don't think I'd want to see Umek at an event like EDC. Even last year when Sasha was there, I didn't see his set. Sure, Sasha is one of the best DJs in the world hands down - but, I'd rather see either of those guys in a dark moody proper club - not a massive. That's just me personally though, I don't feel an event of that size (+ the whole stage set up and everything) would be the right place to see them. I think Umek deserves a spot, though. He doesn't have a big enough commercial following though to really be worth it. They could give the timeslot to someone else (like Boys Noise or some other electro headliner) and have more people happy about it.
The budget for EDC isn't what stops them from booking what. Its who's hot right now and how many time slots they have for them. Also, now with it being 3 days - theres tons of space for tons of people.
A dawn to dusk party will probably mean from 6-6. Yeah, its still hot at 6PM, but its not that big of a deal, plus, you'll probably be in line till its dark anyways. There's no doubt it will be warm, but whatever, just party, its EDC. Who cares if you look like a sweaty maniac when you get out, thats half the fun anyways yeah? :P |

You have NO idea what you are talking about! Sasha absolutely smashed EDC last year. Maybe THE set of EDC outside of Groove Armada. Dark & Moody!? Half of his tracklist was Cirez D & Pryda cuts. |
