If Insomniac hasn't sold its target number of tickets a couple weeks before EDC, I'm sure you will see single day tix being sold... maybe at a slightly reduced cost (say, ~$70). |
i hear they are very happy with sales so far.... though i doubt the person that told me would be honest if sales sucked lol. |

I expect Insomniac will sell a huge number of tickets and EDC will be a huge success. I just wish I could've known the lineup when single day tickets were being sold. Oh well... maybe next year. |

Why....what would you have done differently? |

This has been discussed at length in the earlier pages of this thread, but I only wanted to go one day. However I did not know which day would most appeal to me since the lineup was not announced before tickets went on sale.
Last year, Day 1 of EDC did not appeal to me so I only went to Day 2. This year, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a one-day ticket, plus hotel, gas, etc... and not be happy with the lineup.
But other people are willing to take the risk, so more power to them. |

I see EDC as an event to experience and expand my EDM pallet. Do I enjoy everything that is being served up, no but I am sure I can find something or even better something new. Hanging out with friends, watching the ‘people show’(outfits, costumes etc) taking it all in makes for a great weekend. I think many put too much importance on THIS dj or THAT and forget to have a good time…you’re at a music festival for goodness sake and it bets a day at the office or in school hands down. I’m not saying I don’t have my favorites who I am looking forward to hearing but seriously, it’s not like they are going to drop something I have NEVER heard before that will be life changing. Thus I don’t get to excited either way knowing that I am going to have an awesome time hanging with my friends.
Great memories are built not so much on what you’re doing but who you are doing it with.

Here's my issue: There is no one I really like, who I know is going to be there. That's why, in my case, I'm not sure I want to spend 200 on something unknown. Yes, I know I'll have a good time with my friends, but there are places other than EDC in Vegas we can have fun at that aren't as expensive. That's why I want to hear a lineup so I can plan my trip with friends out there. I'm introducing my friends to Vegas; EDC was an excuse to get everyone out there and have a basis of stuff to do if we wanted to focus on EDC. At this point, we are pretty much looking elsewhere until otherwise noted, and the lineup is turned into people I want to go see. |

got my card today for friday GA .. anyone who has a 3 day pass, is there a difference in how the card looks?
if there isn't a difference i'm sure people will start to slang 1 days as 3 days and it will suck for the buyer.
just a heads up to TA members
|
It looks exactly the same, but all three day's tickets show up on the online check.

This POV has already been expressed a few times in this thread. It's a fine POV to have, but not everyone feels this way. |

Bout time someone changes the subject. I've never seen such bellyaching in a forum thread in my life. You guys are all bitching and moaning about the prices of these tickets. I spent 180.00 for a 3 day pass. When I was in Ibiza in the fall I spent 180.00 in the first 2 hours at Space, before Carl Cox even started his set! Of course these promoters are going to make difficult. They want to make a profit! Festivals are about the profit, like it or not. They aren't interested in breaking even or losing money. This is not Woodstock. If you want to hear your favorite DJ, get a in flight to where he's playing like I do, as no one comes where I live. The rave generation is over....no big underground DJ is going to throw you a one-off gig in a warehouse for free http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...182&forumid=60#
This is capitalism for you
