What's your reasoning for such hope? |

Define a lot of customers. They already sold a storm of single day tickets and reaped in huge money for it.
I think that's the real reason other than the contract issues I imagine they have as well. Let me explain:
1) We sold a bunch of tickets to people who just want to go and don't care! Sweet... we made $$. People will still buy tickets and we don't have to say as much. If we loose business, it wont be as significant really because of the overwhelming amount of people that already bought tickets.
Now, this of course happened earlier, before they released tickets to sell...
2) We can't plan for an event since we don't have a location. Any contracts we had in place are now voided since we have no event space.
3) We have a new event space! YAY! Las Vegas! WOOT!
4) Crap, all those LA contracts we got rid of or the got voided when we changed locations have to be rewritten. We have less time to write said contracts and have to pay more because of a shortened timetable! Also, hopefully those artists haven't been booked elsewhere. BULLOCKS! Well, let's get some regulars and resident's first that are in the area and "big names." We can release that as a teaser.
5) With all the money we already have, and the branding for the event, we are doing fine. Why should we release more info?
It is definitely #5 that pisses me off. What actually pisses me off more is why they aren't releasing the names that have confirmed themselves. Why hold back the parts of a lineup that already posted it on their own tour schedule? That part makes zero sense to me. |

I think the majority of people attending bought their tickets early believing a line up would be released by now bases on last years experience. If we all get burned and the lines isnt even respectable, they will pay the price next year. Brand name/reputation will / has bought them the benefit of the doubt this year.
As that saying goes, full me once...
Like it or not this is exactly what Coachella is doing now... selling 2012 tickets without ANY line up information. |

I want to say part of their line up issues stem from the fact that they're taking away acts from the clubs and at the same time trying to please the clubs so that they can build before and after parties with them. pretty sure there's a lot of politicing going on between Insomniac and the big clubs that they're trying to iron out, in addition to their already slow releases |

| I have no idea if this is true but has anyone considered that they could be selling too many tickets and releasing the lineup could cause a bigger amount of people than they can handle wanting to go to the event. |

How about release the line up so people on the edge can decide to go or not. |
