Just booked Thurs-Sun (4 nights) at Luxor, they're doing a 20% off promotion. Room averaged $77/night plus tax and "resort fee," but it's fully refundable so I can always look for something better. I like being on the Strip and being monorail accessible if I need it to get somewhere (like another casino where a bus stops for the speedway, for example, just hypothetically, not saying that the event will be happening there...)
Last time I stayed at Luxor, they ran out of regular rooms and upgraded me to a suite at no cost, it was very nice! Hope this happens again... :) |

well you gotta figure that
a) most people getting on a shuttle from a hotel are guests... and as you can only check-in if you are 21+, i see no issue.
b) being able to take a bus from the hotel to the venue would encourage people to stay at the casinos on the strip...
c) not sure why you'd need to make 'official' hotels. for CES they have a bus route that stops at every single casino to pick-up/drop-off people...
d) many many many many years ago at the Camel Desert Air Rave (best party ever!) they had nice buses running from the vacant lot across from the Luxor to the event... |
