Well I think good table manners beget good table manners. You entered the thread showing an openness to discuss issues - compared to Sukhoi who came in calling Obama a Muslim and his supporters anti-American.
Why don't you start from the beginning and see who started the flaming?
You're really twisting things around. I never said that all of Obama's supporters are anti-American. I labeled Rob as that only after he made a really ridiculous and offensive comment. And although he is currently trying to downplay what he said, I've lost complete respect for him despite agreeing with him in numerous other threads.
Also, I never claimed that McCain's experience spent at a POW will make him more knowledgeable about issues that are important to be well rehearsed in as the president. I do wholeheartedly feel, however, that his experience undoubtedly has made him a strong leader.
I don't trust Obama, I don't feel that he's ready to be the president of the US (especially when regarding national defense)- and that is all regardless of his race, or supposed religion.

So you want someone responsible for your national defense who'd sit in Iraq for, say, 1000 years?

I agree. McCain has way more experience being the President of the United States of America than Barack Obama does.

Shouldn't you be off sucking your thumb in the corner due to Sukhoi29SU (???) losing all respect for you (???) in a single post?

Oh, I am. That's what's making my day.
I'm an internet emotional masochist - haven't we gone over this before?
In any event, definitely keep all sharp objects away from me tonight. I'm feeling more in the mood for papier-mâché anyway.

No, you're making a really bad assumption there.
I do feel, though, that pulling troops out of Iraq too early would be a tremendous mistake- and would be extremely unfair to the people there.
Also, I mentioned earlier about our responsibility as a world power. Someone mentioned Darfur. I completely agree that if we are policing certain places, that others that are equally important shouldn't go unnoticed. I think we need to take action there.
Also, about the question regarding 9/11 and Iraq. I do believe that Hussein harbored terrorists in Iraq and that there was a connection there. I know this might be completely opposite of things you have read and seen on the news- but I honestly feel that going into Iraq was necessary. Granted, some things were overlooked- but I supported then and continue to support our operations there.

Whoops, sorry. I was off by a factor of 10.
100 years is still a bit too long for my tastes.

Rob you can continue to downplay what you said and harass me for getting emotionally vested in an internet forum. I really don't care.

GOP response: he was making a figure of speech when he said 100 years... or, he was joking.

Breaking News Update: Due to dieseltron3000 starting this horrible atrocity of a thread, I've just lost all respect for anyone who ever had any respect for me.
Just a heads up, but you should probably all feel really bad and kill yourselves now.
