She ran a city and governed a state. You have to admit that's *some* experience. |
Being head of the PTA, mayor of a city of 6000, and governing Alaska has nothing on being a Columbia and Harvard educated individual with 11 years of legislative experience and an extensive resume of public works projects, at least to me it doesn't.
Governing Alaska is about on par with being the mayor of Appleton, WI. Sure, people here might say "Hey look, it's the mayor (governor)!", but no one more than ten minutes outside their jurisdiction gives a about them. |

A "city" of 6000 people. You've got to be kidding. My office building has a population bigger than that. |

86% of the ppl of Alaska can't be wrong if she's got that high of an approval rating.
I think a Governor who can run a state (no matter how many ppl are actually in it - i can't even believe that's a big deal. They still must do the same job as the Governor of any other state) is more qualified than a community organizer. Whatever that may be. |

I suppose those 8 years of State Senate years in a state 15x the size of Alaska have no value? Or the 3.5 years in the Senate since, many months of which have included him being vetted to be the Presidential candidate. We've had plenty of time to get to know him.
If McCain really was interested in her, she should have been out on the trail, getting known months ago. They completely set her up for a barrage like this when there's about 60 days to get to know her before you decide who, if a currently 72 year-old with a cancer history dies in office, will become President of this country. |

Is "community organizer" some snarky conservative catchword I haven't caught on to yet? Both Giuliani and Palin used it with a sneer tonight. I never realized it was cool to make fun of kids who take jobs straight out of college doing social work in low-income neighborhoods for less than $15,000/year. |

Also, fyi: Obama's national campaign staff is 50 times larger than Palin's total number of village employees in Wasilla.
If that's not executive experience, then I'm a pumpkin. |

Even if it's within weeks of him being inaugurated?
There's also the issue that she's a Far Christian Right nutjob that believes in Creationism, but not that global warming is at least assisted by man. |

| Did she compare herself to Truman? The guy who was VP for less than 80 days before becoming President? God, that's like the nightmare scenario with her, isn't it? |
