it remains to be clarified whether the comment was directed toward Gov. Palin, if i were ever to call someone a pig (which i wouldn't) it would have to be towards like a really evil and horrible monster- aka Jiang Zemin or Satan, you know? i wouldn't use that on a human being...

It's a really common phrase - any inference that it was directed at Palin is giving her too much credit.
Swift Boat politics is when a politician knowingly lies to make the other side look bad. In other words, exactly what Senator McCain is doing by accusing Obama of being sexist over that comment, considering McCain himself used the phrase in at least three televised speeches within the last year, and used to employ a woman on his Senate staff in the 1980's who went on to write a book entitled "Lipstick on a Pig" --
